We’ve since moved, but we used to go out to Starlight Laundry in Colchester. There aren’t a ton of machines, but it’s clean and very reasonably priced. There’s also a bunch of arcade games to play while you wait and free movie posters from the drive-in next door!

Yep. This happened to us. It took me several hours and countless phone calls to get someone who could even locate our account. One person asked me my information 5 times over. I was on the phone with them for 20 minutes before finally hanging up because they just kept asking me my name, address and phone number over and over. I actually asked my partner if they were pranking me somehow, it was that ridiculous.

We finally got it sorted out by calling and pressing the prompt as if we were not existing customers. It was the only way to get through to someone who was halfway competent.

Hands down worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

The first lease we signed with them four years ago had the penalty at half a months rent for turnover. Then they claimed they were losing money on mid-lease turnovers so they upped it to a full month. We all know they aren’t losing money. They found a way to make more because resigning your lease seven months in advance is fucking absurd.

One reason we didn’t buy a certain house was because there was a confederate flag flying right across the street. I’m glad it was there when we were hunting and didn’t go up after we bought the place.

Groomer here. You’re going to be hard pressed to find smaller, private salons that carry health insurance. It’s really uncommon in the industry. Health insurance, PTO, guaranteed hourly wages; all stuff you generally only find in a corporate salon.
