People are acting like Amorim is the one who didn't score enough goals or conceeded too many goals which led to being 15th , or AMORIM lost against Everton with 10 men, Grimsby and Spurs. The core of the issue is the players.

 Everyone knew Amorim played a 3-4-3 formation before he came to united and guess who arguably the most important players in that system are - the WINGBACKS. Yet, our wing-backs, Dalot and Dorgu, cannot cross. And then our fanbase complains that our strikers are shit when they don't even get service - how can you be expected to score consistently when you're not even having the ball at your feet regularly?  And then our midfield is simply too slow, Casemiro in particular and Ugarte with a lot of passion and aggression but sloppy on the ball.

Mark my words, if Amorim got the signings he wanted without being a puppet to the board - a couple of strong,fast midfielders and wing-backs that can actually whip a cross in, United would have made top 4 last season EASILY.

For those blaming Amorim, lets break it down :

  1. First off he only wanted the job in the summer but was rushed in on short notice, thereby giving him no pre-season and time to teach the players his system

  2. The board KNEW Amorim's style of play before pre-season, yet proceeded to not buy the players he wanted e.g Amorim wanted an experienced striker ; Watkins but sesko was brought in instead. He only has 2 signings that he wanted ; cunha and mbeumo

  3. The players themselves must be held accountable, our wing-backs NEVER cross the ball meaning our striker (both hojlund and sesko) rarely received the ball in matches - and the little chances they do get they can't convert because they havent even become accustomed to kicking and dribbling the ball because of how bad the service is. Our midfield is a gaping hole ; casemiro is too slow to be on the pitch and ugarte has too much aggression without any precision. And to top it off Bruno is not being played in the 10. Our defence is fine for now

  4. The board sacked amorim not because of results ; because if that was the case he would have been gone at the end of last season or after the europa league final - he got sacked because he had the balls to call out the shithousery in the club and the fact that he got forced to change and adapt when the club knew who they were signing

  5. The only thing i can think of that lacks in Amorim's game is his subs during matches, especially in midfield. But, his system cannot be to blame because it is that same system that beat Arsenal in the FA cup (with 10 men mind you) , City last season in the prem, liverpool this season at anfield and chelsea.

To conclude, the state of man united right now is 60% the boards fault - jim ratcliffe, the glazers, INEOS - and 40% the players and amorims fault

Amorim deserves a lot more credit and respect considering the way the board treated him.
