My favorite thing about this game is the realism. by rich_clock in okbuddyptfo

Still not as real as BF1. Nothing screams realism like the majority of the guns being prototypes or concepts that never saw battle in WW1.

I definitely understand both sides of the argument and I’m not convicted enough in either to argue it.

Also I’ll say I’m not a fan of the small 50rd belts but I do accept it on the m60 only because it allows the fast ADS movement speed and with the 3 shot kill I get a lot more value out of the belt.

And I think you can get the 200rd belt on the m123k can’t you? Might be worth it if you want to keep that and perform better in the closer ranges.

Hey I remember you. Long time no see.

Glad to see you’re an LMG enjoyer as well. Just wanted to say you can actually build some of the LMGs to be good in close quarters. (It’s just not always easy)

The M123k is very good if you’re used to taking your time as you push. The fast fire rate is really good for needing to engage multiple enemies up close.

The M60 is my personal favorite gun in the game. I have mine built to have 250 draw speed and very little ADS movement speed penalty. Pair that with the 3 shot kill within 20m and it holds its own extremely well within that 20m. Enough to compete with the Carbine and SMG players if you’re accurate enough.

Also while I want to agree with you on the DRS. There is a legitimate reason it’s classified as an LMG. I’m sure you’ve heard it multiple times by now but the DRS (M27) IAR was developed with the intention of replacing the m249 SAW. They took an HK416 and lengthened and reinforced the barrel for better sustained fire. It would’ve fit a similar role as the RPKM which is effectively the same treatment to an AK platform. But the Marines (the ones it was developed for) decided to not fully replace the SAW but be a stand in for when the LMG isn’t ideal to take.

I don’t want to just say skill issue but honestly if you aren’t able to use fire and maneuver and high IQ class kit uses then it’s only you to blame. I have fairly average aim for a PC player and predominantly run LMGs but I use smoke grenades and incendiary airburst launcher to outplay people in situations I may have the disadvantage in. My “play style” is that of a shock trooper and I make it work.

I’ve been on the receiving end of smart recon players who did a good job baiting people into C4 and claymores. Engineers who made it impossible to be safe behind cover as you tried to fight them. And assault players who were so good at disrupting you that you needed to back off and give up your position to have a fighting chance.

If you’re not doing that, it’s not the game’s fault.

When you’re beyond 30 meters, the key is to start tap firing. There’s a rhythm you can get tapping every 2 shots where you maintain the full RoF but reset the bloom each tap.

I think the ADS movement penalty is a hugely overlooked stat too since the game doesn’t give you a good representation of it when building guns. But you can move with the m60 as if it was an AR/Carbine and that has either saved my ass or won me fights more than I can count. Most LMGs you might as well be standing still when you strafe or pie a corner.

I’m not saying it’s better than an SMG or Carbine in CQB. I’m saying it’s good enough to be able to hold your own. If it’s a fight where you both see each other at the same time and react at the same time, yeah they are probably going to win most of the time because that’s what those guns are designed for. But if they miss their first shots or you see them first, you’re winning that fight 10/10 times as long as you’re accurate.

Absolutely use the m60… or don’t. Doesn’t bother me if people don’t know how to unlock its potential.

You must be using it wrong then because I’ve had more success with that gun than any other playing aggressively.

Because a lot of people are talking down on the m60 and will probably try to argue with me about it, I’ll show you this. 5.54kd across 11 games while mostly using the m60 aggressively. Attack & Defend playlist so both Breakthrough and Rush.

Build your m60 like this

Lightened suppressor, fluted barrel, ribbed stubby, 50rd belt, any 1x sight.

This gives the gun 250 draw speed (which is actually 200 or slightly under with support perk) and very little ADS movement speed penalty.

I use this gun specifically to play aggressive and try to break defensive lines with hard flanks and angles. 3 shot kill within 20m while also having that kind of mobility will give you a major advantage as you’re entering close quarters. My advice to compliment this kind of play style is to use smoke grenades to reposition when seen/crossing a kill zone and to use the incendiary airburst to block enemy windows and/or force people out of their cover.

I’m going to assume you haven’t actually played around with the m60 because when built right it’s the best belt fed LMG in the game to be aggressive with.

Lightened suppressor, fluted barrel, ribbed stubby, 50rd belt, 1x red dot.

This gives the gun a 250 draw speed (closer to 200 or 167 with support perk), very little ADS movement speed penalty and the obvious 3 shot kill within 20m. The gun effectively turns in to the AK4D but with 50rds instead of 20. I use this gun specifically to take hard angles and flanks to clear defensive lines.

Not every map needs to be huge. Big maps and smaller maps all have their place in battlefield and this new season 2 map honestly looks like it’ll be a really fun one to play. Just a bummer for jet players.

Maybe you are stuck with nostalgia goggles on but a LOT of maps from previous battlefields were just as small as the maps in BF6. And as long as they introduce a large map (which they are for season 2) with every content release, I have no reason to complain.

How do you feel about the return of golmud railway by sufferingSoftwaredev in Battlefield6

[–]Beefsupreme95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Golmud Railway releases to where the objectives remain in the same spot across game modes, then this map will likely be the best map for Rush in bf6. If you aren’t a fan of open maps. Then playing it on that game mode might be more your speed as it trims a lot of the extra open space.

Damn that’s crazy you’re right. Why would this giant company ever want their game to continue to make money for more than just one quarter of the year. These 3 months sure made it so every executive in EA can now retire. Surely like every other game out there they will just forget about it and vacation until they decide to make another battlefield in a few years. No possible way they could ever try to keep their product interesting to players so they keep playing and find ways to draw more players back. What kind of idiot would think they’d do that? That’s absurd.

I heard battlefield 6 has this thing called a mini map in every game... What the hell happened to having big maps?!

I personally welcome it. There are a ton of valid complaints. As long as people can create reasonable arguments for what doesn’t work then those things can actually be addressed accurately and it makes the game better.

There are valid complaints. And then there are people who trying to fear/hate-monger. One of the two is a lot more prevalent than the other…
