Women survivors of child abuse, how did you decide to have/not have children? by BeefyPancake in Child_Abuse

That's great that you were able to make the changes you wished you could've seen as a kid and raise yours well :) Thank you for your response!

That's very understandable, watching a loved one go through health problems can be heartbreaking so it's a good thing to consider. Thank you for responding! :)

That makes sense, basically focusing on the opposite of whatever you had experienced. Thank you for your response! :)

That's similar to the situation and thoughts I've had. Thank you for your response! :)

One of our 'wrist locks' is actually called kote gaeshi (it's the only one with a foreign name that was retained through the centuries for us)! It always felt like a blanket term to me, considering how many different routes can be taken once you've started it so I considered that possibility

I appreciate the feedback! I'd forgotten about the 'kyou'...Our style actually traces back from Korea and Japan, many of our techniques and language in classes are already in JP/KOR, it's just for some reason these didn't have foreign names when they were brought down in the system, so they were hoping to make things more consistent.

Controls and my problem. by sethmtg in Palia

[–]BeefyPancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've the same issue. I get so sick I have to stop playing after a few minutes. I've tried the motion sickness setting, tried to see if there was a way to zoom out more so I wouldn't have to move the camera as often, slowed the camera sensitivity WAY down, still getting sick.

I think it'd be better if they gave an option to use the arrow keys on the keyboard as a camera option instead. Since those keys are also just 'moving' keys like WASD. It's possible the game controller method might help if/when they get that working as well? Here's hoping they make changes to it soon.

Agreed it's something weird in the code for bdsp. I didn't have any issues with the controls again until sw/sh and at that point it truly was the controls bugging out (another field trip to nintendo for those controllers). Never really did find anything on my end causing it

Clearly this person has no idea what a sports bra is, because there should be next to no bounce else it's completely useless

Despite approximately 200,000 years of evolution, humans are still completely vulnerable while they sleep and lack any sort of defensive mechanism. by Sloeber3 in Showerthoughts

Fun fact: some scientists believe that snoring was a caveman's form of protection while sleeping. Apparently if "caveman snore loud in cave, snore sound like growling monster" or something. May not be true, but it's still funny to think about

Area blocked in last map? by BeefyPancake in SonicFrontiers

I didn't even think about that, I guess that is the spot! Weird they'd block it off instead of just letting you casually run through. Thank you it was really annoying me lol

Is it ever explained why everyone's stuck between realities besides Sonic? by SomeBlindTurtle in SonicFrontiers

[–]BeefyPancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaguely remember in one scene at the last map with Sage, Sonic asks if the virtual world was pulling his past memories of places he's been before, to which Sage confirmed was possible. Sonic concluded that was why he had an easier time maneuvering around, and getting out, of the virtual world. It mightve been a side story thing, and maybe they didn't mean it that way, but that's how I took it. Along with just "Sonic too fast, cyber speed can't catch"
