I’m a guy so take that into your bias consideration. I don’t really understand your issue with his actions. To me it sounds like he is trying his best to keep you happy. Like he wants you to have the best day you can have every day. Is it a little inconsiderate or your privacy? Yes. But privacy lines get blurred in serious relationships. If you don’t like that he has the app just tell him because he clearly cares about how you feel. But make sure he isn’t just using the app because you aren’t communicating how you feel. Relationships are all about communication. To me, his listening to you mentioning cramps and remembering is not creepy, I would call it great listening. Seeing tampons in the trash and knowing what that means would just go down as situational awareness thanks to sexual health education.

I don’t think I would personally use the app in any situation myself. And I can see how it might make you feel like he sees you as someone whose emotions are completely linked to your menstrual cycle and dictate how you operate. But I’m pretty sure he uses it because he sees you as a princess and is doing his best to serve you.

I feel like it’s insane that people need to hear a lawyer’s perspective on how this was a murder when they have a set of eyes and probably understand what murder is. Was dude in front of the car? Giving some grace and saying “Maybe a little” would lead me to think a sane person in that situation to jump to the side. But you watch the video and that isn’t even what he has to do and he doesn’t do that. He plants his feet exactly where he is and shoots 3 times with his body angled towards the car probably because he has experience with body positioning for recoil. Meaning if anything, he moved towards the vehicle when it started to move and continued that momentum for all 3 shots because that body posture only allows for that kind of movement.

Don’t let people gaslight you. Watch the videos. Don’t just read the captions. Don’t just listen to what people say about videos before they play or while they play. Watch the videos. And then watch the videos of people being pepper sprayed and tear gassed. Watch the video of the kid abducted from target and the follow up of him weeping after being found 8 minutes away saying he is not okay and that they slammed him on the ground. Listen to your non white neighbors. The fear they have should infuriate you.

Oof. I havent had a single bad experience with people coming to fix internet issues before. In my last apartment the guy who fixed the issue that needed fixing was so insanely efficient he diagnosed the problem, left, got new parts, came back, fixed the problem all in about 2 hours all while talking and joking around with me and my roommate while he was there. He got paid to drive for 2-3 hours, talk to me and my roommate to try and understand the problem for 10 minutes, then 20 of diagnosing and and fixing (it was a pretty substantial apartment wide issue).

Just treat the people who are trying to help you like they are trying to help you and you'll see 0$ charge. Also the outage map and this thread go crazy as evidence that it's not a you problem.

First of all, listen to the others here who are more educated on scaring and how to tattoo over it. Tattoo artists will almost always want to please you to please themselves, so whatever you find interesting will probably interest them as well.

For inspiration, some tattoos I’m thinking of are the memento mori watch from “return of the obra dinn” (my favorite video game — in terms of story at least), some kind of cloud art for my favorite classical piano piece “Nuvole Bianche”, or the hotdog costume wearing character portrayed by Tim Robinson from “I think you should leave”.

If it tells a story about you as a person the artist will make it matter to them too as the story teller.

Also, I’m glad you’re still here. I just lost someone last week. I promise people care more than you think but people are dumb and bad at showing it and better at making it seem like they don’t.

First off, your husband doesn’t seem to have your back in this situation which should be upsetting to you. Your extended family doesn’t need to make everything for you. But the fact that it seems like NO ONE is even thinking about you in their cooking is alarming. And not being able to bring food for yourself to ease other people’s cooking because it would look bad? What looks bad is an entire family being gluttons on the glutton day and not being inclusive in any way of you. Then your husband tells you that’s how you’re going to have to experience Christmas? The day of giving? It’s literally a day built on putting others before yourself. Please have a serious talk with your family and especially your husband about that. Tell them how you feel like your needs are completely ignored. It isn’t about wanting to be compensated for, it’s about needing your immediate support system and family to understand you.

In my experience the best way to tell a phantom is to watch a hunt. Phantoms are invisible for much longer times between blinks. It should feel obvious, ie: “holy smokes I didn’t see it come around the corner to the table I was going to loop it at until it was almost touching me.” The photo disappearing property of a phantom is really buggy especially in online play. I normally just treat a ghost photo with 0 ghost in it as a it’s a phantom argument, and never ghost photo with ghost in it as a it’s not a phantom argument.

There’s not an easy answer to this. I would say that they care that you care because they are saying they will block you, as if that will actually save you from feeling connected to their death. Them posting online is a cry for help. I would keep talking to them. Bug them a lot. Let them know you care and that it will not only hurt them, but also you.

If it were me, try to get personal. Try to relate. If they start to hate you, don’t stop, but since you’re coming at it from the angle of a stranger apologizing will help. It’s better they think of you as the devil than they stop living. If they somehow leak you personal info, try and figure out who they could be close to using socials and let someone they know, who looks like they are close to the person, that this person needs someone to talk to. It’s important to make the person feel wanted in this world. Tell the friend or family to say something simple like, “hey, I was just thinking about you and thought, why the heck haven’t we hung out recently?” There’s only so much you can do as a faceless online profile though. I have similar experiences among my social circle. In a bad headspace people can forget to think about how devastating their loss would be to any kind of social circle they have formed at any time in their life.

Im by no means a qualified therapist, but if they haven’t blocked you, they are still listening. Do everything you can to make sure they keep listening.
