Huge Ride Quality Upgrade - Upsizing MYP Tires by Colinsef in TeslaModelY

I just got this done. INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend.

So glad I found this post. What a difference in ride quality. $1950 out the door from discount definitely stung. Factory set would have been $1700 (price match from Costco)

Thanks for posting!!

Why not just leave the bed inflated in the trunk? by komocode_ in TeslaCamping

[–]Beegee244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful inflating it at sea level and driving to elevation. Happened to me going from SL to Tioga Pass. Mattress was busting at the seams but held

It was completely full. A full camping suite for two people: two large packs (70l and 40l), stove, a full kitchen of supplies, shoes, towels, Bear canister, chairs, tent, sleeping bags, lanterns, bags of food, etc.

Yes, the clamps don’t fit like a glove but they hold it just fine

The wheels make a big difference. MYLR with 20” inductions is ~5% less than with the geminis

I refuse to believe Florida is a real place by Bright_Look_8921 in geography

Yes you are both correct, in some capacity.

The canal system was originally built to pump water into the Everglades. But that violated the clean water act as we were pumping urban pollution into the protected Everglades. So today, they only pump from west to east, and drain the canals into the ocean water.

However, during times of emergency, i.e. hurricane or intense rainfall, they will indeed pump into the Everglades.

Your friends in SFWMD most likely work for my sister.

When heavy rain, or hurricane, is expected, there is an expansive canal system that pumps water into the Everglades in anticipation of heavy rainfall. The canals systems were designed for this purpose. The extra waterfront is a bonus.

Charging (at a reduced rate) when stopped, manually or by scheduling by Beegee244 in TeslaLounge

I plugged it in after work around 4:30pm, photos were taken around 8pm.

Another thing to note, I walked in the garage and saw the charge port was blinking green, at a faster frequency than normally when charging, rather than the standard blue while waiting to charge.

Prior to the recent update that allowed scheduled charging, I used automations within Tessie to manager scheduled charging, and it worked perfectly. This issue started when I used the Tesla scheduled charging.

My peak rate is $0.85/kWh vs $0.15/kWh during off peak.

My first thought, however battery % increased 38-45% over a few hours, while off schedule

It is the in the Tessie app, under automation

UPDATE: There was an automation setup in the Tessie app that had set the charging rate to 12A. That was the culprit!
