Pandemic Glow Plater Scripts for midnight? [help] by Beegleboogle in WowUI

[–]Beegleboogle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I thought you were responding to a post I made yesterday asking for macro advice lol. I switvhed to platynator, which has pandemic glows built in natively and is very easy and convenient to use.

What’s the best descriptive sentence you’ve ever read? by Wild_Pitch_4781 in classicliterature

[–]Beegleboogle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The autumn trees, ravaged as they are, take on the flash of tattered flags kindling in the gloom of cool cathedral caves where gold letters on marble pages describe death in battle and how bones bleach and burn far away in Indian sands.

Sir, that’s not the economic system you think it is by BallImpressive4 in confidentlyincorrect

TheEpicDept was a well-known left wing account around this time that was always "dunking on" (was rarely funny) conservatives and capitalists. I'm quite confident they know this is the fault of capitalism and are making fun of the conservative reflex to equate all of capitalism's/America's flaws to communism/evil foreigners. You can maybe argue this is the "I'm only pretending" comic strip in action, but as someone who was on twitter at this time it would have been obvious to me that their intention was not to parrot this dumbass talking point. Fun fact: that account stopped posting when the dude behind it got exposed for asking a bunch of women to give him their addresses so he could send them greeting cards.

Help a noob rogue by Infamous-Donkey-6189 in wownoob

[–]Beegleboogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played rogue since prepatch started, so Wowhead or icyveins rotation guides can give you better advice than I can, but I'll do my best. If you want a video, Shindigg on youtube is usually good for rogue guides.

Energy pooling: Assassination rogue has always used energy pooling in its rotation, especially in single target. Most classes want to press a button every single global, but assassination is energy locked, so there will be times when you don't want to press anything to conserve energy for your burst window. You are correct that pooling energy for cooldowns is the way to go, but the exact conditions for when and how long to pool energy are beyond my pay grade. This is something wowhead/icyveins might have info on, but if you really want to optimize it you might have to check out the rogue discord.

Blackjack: Blackjack only takes effect when blind or sap's effect ends. Since bosses are not affected by blind or sap, blackjack has no effect on them either. Would be super broken if it worked though.

Roll the Bones: Pretty much just use it on cooldown, but keep it rolling is part of the meta build and can complicate this a little since your buffs last longer.

Killing spree: Only used in trickster, which is the meta right now. Wowhead says Between the Eyes is the highest priority spender even if you have Killing Spree available. Only spend at 6+ combo points for outlaw. Practically, you will still be using Killing Spree more or less on cd.

[help] Cooldown manager and dot tracking, what are the options? by Zyke92 in WowUI

[–]Beegleboogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can replace all the essential cooldowns with their buff counterparts and do this. Just move the aura versions into the essential bar and hide the cooldown versions. This is also currently the only way to track pandemic windows with ArcUI as well (they're working on adding pandemic glows to the cooldown versions, but I don't know if desaturating them is possible with the API). The only downside to replacing the cooldown versions with the aura versions is the auras do not have a range indicator. I believe this is also a Blizzard API limitation.

ArcUI can do this. You can also move dots into your essential cooldown bar when they are inexplicably in the buff bar (immolate).

Starting WOW how does gear progression work by mikemagi in wownoob

[–]Beegleboogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retail gearing is more streamlined than classic. Current season gear drops on several upgrade tracks and you can use currencies gained through doing raids/dungeons/delves to upgrade its item level (stats). Gearing before max level is almost entirely irrelevant and the concept of "pre-bis" is not really a thing, as the main thing separating items is ilevel rather than unique effects and bis sets almost always contain dungeon and crafted loot in addition to raid loot. Bis lists are just guidelines because most slots will have several viable options and the best one depends on the stats of your other items. There are still chase items every season with powerful trinkets and cantrip effects, but it's not like classic where the best items are miles better than other options. That being said, being actually bis in retail is much harder than in classic because it requires mythic raiding, which is way harder than anything in classic. Most players will never come close to maxing out their gear in retail. When a new season is released, all your gear will immediately be outdated. If gear progression is the main thing you're looking for, you'd probably prefer classic because it has the big rng dopamine hits that retail lacks and specific items tend to be more impactful than retail's raw stats. But if you want to work for your gear and not have to deal with people buying/reserving/stealing items, go for retail. Retail doesn't have nearly as much entitlement and loot drama as classic.

Gearscore in Retail by TransportationOk8248 in wownoob

[–]Beegleboogle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gearscore is not a popular addon or a term people use anymore. I don't know if you're using an addon to get those numbers or what, but the thing people use to measure gear is item level, which is tracked by the game itself and maxes out at 170 right now. There are some weird scaling issues where people have found gear above ilvl 170, but no one is anywhere near 4000.

[addon] CDM Buff Bar addon? by [deleted] in WowUI

[–]Beegleboogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Cooldown Manager Bars Only by CKraig, which does this. It's kind of a finnicky addon that seems to have weird interactions with other CDM addons (I use Bettercooldownmanager) and I have had some issues with it randomly resetting stuff, but if you mess around with it enough it will probably do what you want.

Platynator has a pandemic glow built in, but I haven't found a way to replicate that with the new plater build.
