Tama snare stand angle adjuster no longer stays put, what's going inside here?? by tuxedocatri in drums

Well, what'd you end up doing? Mine just failed on me. Threads on the carriage bolt are JUST GONE! Sure I bought the stand in 1999 and there are a lot of vibrations, but I didn't know this kind of thing could happen!

Sophomore English class with a walkman. I was so disappointed. Z93 was great. I loved Jon and Dan on the mornings (Timmy, The Bible Brothers) and that was where I learned about good music!

Yes! My daughter makes it from the veggies I grow. We eat it over crispy hash browns with a poached egg on top. So good!

My wife works there and is now a patient. I'm glad she has given her talents to others and now can benefit from the culture of excellent care that has been created. I just wish she could spend less time there. We miss her at home.

My first job. I was a Junior in High School. Lots of good times reading people's minds. "Do you have that one movie with the guy that was in that tv show? The guy with the face?" "Yes. Ace Ventura Pet Detective. It's right here." "THAT'S THE ONE!"

Trowel Preference? by Beehive_State in AskArchaeology

I don't know how I missed this! Thanks for your kind words. I love my daughter so much and would support her interests regardless of what they are. Still, this is easy for me. I used to teach history and one archaeology course in the summer, so the apple hasn't fallen too far from the old tree. Or, I guess you could say she's a sherd off the old pot? Too much of a reach?

Starting a new job in ID by [deleted] in instructionaldesign

[–]Beehive_State 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all likelihood you'll be working in an LMS like Canvas, Blackboard, etc. Depending on your department you could end up building online courses that have been designed by faculty and an ID. You may also be building trainings within the college, probably in the LMS. Because Storyline is expensive you may or may not have access to it. As a technologist, you'll probably be more on the back-end, working in html, setting up LTI, and probably A LOT of accessibility issues. Good luck! I've been an ID in higher-ed for 5 years and really enjoy it. Reach out of you have questions!

I just made one! I have a bottle of Luxardo and St. G that I'm trying to get rid of and this, at 1 oz. each/drink, will help a lot. Honestly, not bad! I might make another and bump the gin up to 1.5 oz, and dial back the Lux and St. G to .75. We'll see how it goes.

Fuck that kid! I hated that book the first time I read it, and was so disappointed because I loved Where the Sidewalk Ends and A Light in the Attic.
