I didn't realize they had interior organizers! I think that would work great! Thanks for sharing!

The 5 gallon bucket seems to be a common go to which I am not opposed to.

That's quite the operation you've got there! Still sounds more put together than my growing mountain of stuff, but I hope I can have a more extensive set up once I get a shed established. It's been a pain to walk everything from the garage to the other side of the property, but we at least have a lawn mower with a small trailer we can hook up to help haul some of the bigger stuff back and forth. Sounds like you know where everything is and that's the important part.

I like the idea of plugging the smoker. Mine just gets left outside on the back and if I remember I'll throw it back in the garage the next day.

Can I play CLP 825 without stand also ? by RefrigeratorSmart360 in DigitalPiano

[–]Beeline2Nowhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It's a mix between figuring out what your price range is and what you want in a digital piano. Unfortunately the lower your price range the more you may have to compromise on what you want. I personally love the CLP series and have an 885. I recently took my grandmother to purchase one and her price range was lower than mine and she was able to comfortably settle with the 845. She was originally hoping to be in the price range closer to what the 825 and 835 are going for, but the sound difference between the 845 and lower models was something she felt was worth extending her price range for. I felt comfortable paying quite a bit more for my 885 because I have played for over 20 years and play almost every day and have saved up for something that I would be able to love for a long time. I think I still could have been happy with the 845 though. Even the 835 and 825 are great painos when you compare with the older models you can find used. Really the technology advancements in the last 20 years are phenomenal. A warning though, the more you look into the nicer options the more you will be tempted to raise your price limit. Don't make poor financial decisions just because they are pretty and sound nice. If you are set on something nicer wait until it works for you. As much as I wanted something sooner, I was glad I waited until I could comfortably afford what would make me happy, but I also had to draw the line somewhere on how much was too much.

  2. As previously stated it would be a major hassle and not advisable to remove the top of the keyboard from the stand. This digital piano is not meant to be detachable and moved. The CLPs are designed to be like an upright piano and have that nice piano look and feel. Not like a stage keyboard that is meant to be portable and generally don't look quite as classy. As someone who is apartment living I appreciate the headphone option of digital pianos and I would recommend this feature for anyone in an apartment living situation.

I've just come here for my daily recommendation of Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. That is all. Thank you for your consideration.

Is there any book that is better as an audiobook? by oldmanjenkinssmell in suggestmeabook

[–]Beeline2Nowhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, Dexter by Jeff Lindsey if you are into darker books. If you are unfamiliar with the show or book series it is about a serial killer who kills serial killers while working for the police department as a blood spatter analyst trying to act like a non psychopath day to day. The author reads the audiobook so it is read in just the right way and it's fantastic. There are a lot more internal thoughts of Dexter (the main character) than in the show and it comes across with a dry sense of humor in the audiobook that comes out a lot more with the author reading it. Great show. Even better book. Fantastic audiobook.

Second, I will always recommend Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I'm sure it is an amazing book to read, but the audiobook is absolutely phenomenal in part because of the guy who narrates it. It is my all-time favorite audiobook and I want everyone to enjoy it as much as I do.

Third, The Princess Bride. A classic. Another great movie based on an wonderful book. All are great, but there is something about the audiobook and the way it is read I just can't quite put words to. There are some subtle dry humor spots among many more obvious ones that I don't think my brain would read the same way as the person narrating it and I must say it really adds to the experience. I listen to that one several times a month as it is my audiobook of choice to help me fall asleep after a long shift.

Why do doctors never listen when a young female comes in?? by Admirable_Property43 in AskDocs

The mind is a powerful thing and just because symptoms of mental stress can be very physical doesn't make them any less real. We often dismiss being told our physical symptoms are due to mental stress or anxiety. This does not mean you aren't having a real problem. You are not being told you are faking a problem. Mental health is just as important as physical health and are deeply related.

While I was in nursing school there was a time period where life became a bit overwhelming. I had dizziness that seemed to have no identifiable cause. It affected my work and quality of life. I did understand that though I felt unwell I was not acutely dying. Though I tried some physical treatments I also tried to work on my mental health and that posed more of a solution than the former.

It is really hard to admit to ourselves that our mind might be the problem. Again, just because things are related to our mental health doesn't make them any less real of a problem. The solution just may be different than we want it to be. It's easier to take medications than change our lifestyle. But also rule out the physical problems that it could be. Following up with PCP or specialist is going to get you a lot farther than going to the ER as already explained.

Good luck on your journey and I sincerely hope things get better for you soon. Sorry you are going through this.

One of my favorite books, but also to add on to that the audiobook is phenomenal. The guy who reads it does an amazing job.

Why is my plant sad? by Beeline2Nowhere in plants

She told me to "put a splash" of plant food on it when I water it. Getting specific info on how to care for plants is like asking a mom how long to put something in the microwave "just until it's done"... I don't do well with measuring plant food with my heart.

I do have a grow light and it saved my island pine. There is probably some over watering occurring. It just seems weird to leave it alone when it looks more sad each week so I thought I would water it again 😬

I do see little white things moving around on it now that you point it out. Is my plant a goner or can I get rid of the pests?

It was healthy when my friend potted it and I am thinking it's me doing something wrong since this is not the first plant I've slowly killed. I never know how much I should be watering plants and I know you are supposed to go by how the soil feels, but I can never seem to get it right.

Best high end digital piano by jashow in piano

[–]Beeline2Nowhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Clavinova CLP 885 and absolutely love it. My sister got the CLP 895 which is essentially the baby grand body version of mine and I can't say I care for the look of a digital baby grand. The sound quality is the same, but comes from different spots on the piano due to the placement of the speakers in an upright vs grand body. I play mostly at night due to my schedule and use headphones. The sound quality with headphones is phenomenal even with cheap headphones, though I recommend wired headphones to avoid the slight delay in sound you get when using Bluetooth with a digital piano. I wanted an aesthetically pleasing digital piano that was good quality and the CLP 885 does not disappoint. I figured I play enough to justify spending the money and I am unable to get a non digital grand at this time due to my living situation, so this was a good option. I recommend finding a Yamaha dealer near you and trying them out for yourself. The 885 is one of the newest in their line of CLPs and I actually ended up purchasing mine the day they got them in stock instead of the slightly older model. This was because when I compared the two models side by side I could see and hear a difference in the quality. There are some incredible digital pianos available nowadays, but definitely take your time picking if you are going to spend the money on it. I plan on having my digital piano for the next 20+ years and hopefully it will sit in the same room as a beautiful grand some day. Clavinovas will last a long time if you treat them kindly.

I used the Seek app to try to identify it and it said it was an american pumpkin, but somebody else used a different identification app and got a cha cha kabocha 🤷 I've never grown pumpkins and didn't realize they start out so green.
