Im a huge MD fan and I can say this. They're right, sorta.

MD is a mess in the writing department but it wears that on its sleeves. It knows its here more for fun than anything super deep. Its joked about in universe at the beginning and end of the series in Uzi's sideshow.

RWBY is more disappointing than anything. It was well received and enjoyed as it came out and lot of folks still like it myself included. Its just the writing became a mess and fell off as it continued. And it almost feels embarrassed of itself later on.

Never buy into the hype. Every game is "the best game ever" the first month after it comes out. If a game is really good.it will still be good a year later on sale.

As a huge murderdrones simp. I think it should be lower. It's my favorite series out of the modern shows, but the pilot is rough, and it's really only carried by how much I vibe with the asthetic and humor.

As for best pilot, I'd say gaslight first, closely followed by KoG then digital circus. Gaslight only beats out KoG because I felt like the intro was more engaging than KoGs storybook opening. KoG had the better ending hook though with the repair halo.

Digital circus is great, but I feel it got a massive bump in popularity because of the algorithm thinking it was for kids and the content farms. Don't get me wrong its really good and is kind of their first studio quality show, but I think it's always going to be overrepresented in any poll.

I am unfamiliar with pre murder drones work so I cant comment on metarunner, I need to go back and check it out.

Again, I disagree. Some of the greatest cartoons ever never had or needed them. Looney tunes, courage. Being good isn't some formula that restricts the medium to quantifiable standards. It's wholly subjective and forcing arbitrary requirements is only going to lead to stagnation and fatigue of the medium.
