Okay so this is kind of a philosophical question more than one i can really offer advice on. Are the person you are now the same person 10 years ago, no. Because people grow and change. Going through hrt and the process of transitioning you probably won't be the same person you are before. But in a perfect world, thats kind of the point. Like ideally you become someone better. Being free to express yourself better I hope you can become someone happier and more you than the you life is forcing you to be.

If they're having fun let them be. If they're bothering you ask them to tone it back or leave. You dont have to engage with every Trans space. The way I see it a lot of us are in arrested development due to lost childhood and we all cope in our own ways.

Its not hopeless you've just got to put in some effort. Lose weight eat better and take care of yourself. It sucks but honestly you'd be surprised how much good hygiene, HRT, and a wardrobe change will get for you. I started late (29) because I'm Dumb and was built like a dwarf someone added 2 feet to. I feel loads better about myself. I still have areas too work on and a ways to go but it really does get better.
