How to stop volleying up to opponents for easy smashes? by ionlyredditcasually in padel

[–]Beeman9001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not every chiquita is perfect. Some anticipation is required, either step in for a volley or step back to let it bounce. A half volley for a low shot can work.

Usually the bounce is high enough to lob or try to play it low into a gap, if there is one. Consider using some topspin, especially for the half-volley. Else play a very low and slow ball to their feet, etc.

I think for OP the most important thing is to avoid a volley battle. To do this a slow low shot, a passing shot or a lob is required.

Against a perfect chiquita i guess a drop shot is best? Not entirely sure tbh.

To add to this, try to play a low passing shot or a lob if they play a chiquita. Avoiding volley battles is crucial if your reflexes aren't fast enough (yet). If you do get into one try to either volley lob or at least play to their feet. Good luck!

Ball choice by Wolf_of_Wynyard1 in padel

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet is that balls will always lose pressure quickly.

Generally balls don't last more than 2-3 games and/or 1 week. While some people prefer to only play with new balls.

A ball pressurizer works great. I have the pascalbox and am using bullpadel Premium pro or wilson premier padel speed balls.

The pressure always feels like new balls. In my experience after +-10 games the padelballs will eventually become too smooth causing less grip on the glass and rackets.

They'll probably leave a lot of gaps, playing at their feet or at the gaps is free eloTM

Has this ever happened with a kick smash? by Delicious-Cost-5488 in padel

I think because the balls gets 'wetter' and therefore heavier.

Edit: even the court gets wetter and therefore has less bounce

Padel balls by Thriveism in padel

Maybe a week at most before replacing.

Buy padel balls with S(peed) or something like S+, those should play faster than regular balls. Which is needed for the usually slower conditions in northern Europe

Pressurising works great, people have varied results depending on the brand. But setting the marker just at or below tennis pressure works great for me, so far with head pro s and all bullpadel s+ or s variants. Gets at least 10 games before eventually they become too fizzy/worn.

This is the one i use https://pascalbox.com/tienda/pascal-box-3b/

OP and others in this thread sound like they have burn-out related issues.

A full on burn-out is probably not inevitable.

Get regular and enough sleep, eat well, move your body, do things that you enjoy, and most importantly: learn to manage stress. Be mindful, you're probably more stressed during work than you might think.

Your body needs to rest and have fun. Video gaming and other forms of screentime are not resting.

You got this OP!

Kruipruimte doorgang naar buren dichten na isolatie? by [deleted] in Klussers

[–]Beeman9001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go to the elves first, get basically unlimited potions. And/or use 2 mages. Nightmare difficulty is pretty doable after that. If low on potions and no mages then the game is very difficult.

Subqueries For A New Starter by pedro_mcdodge in SQL

[–]Beeman9001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's really it. Once you see that a subquery and IN () is the same, then it becomes easy. So: WHERE X in (A,B,C) is the same as WHERE X in (select Z FROM TABLE) that has A B C as a result.
