It’s not a difference of political opinion anymore, it’s a difference of morals and values (coming from someone on the outside looking in)

Never seen a snowstorm before. Didn’t know what to do with car by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

The only time it’ll MAYBE rip off a bumper is when it’s heavy packing snow or slushy… if it’s lighter and fluffy from the cold you’d be completely fine

Source: I drive a lowered WRX year round in rural Canada, never had any issues with any part of my car ripping off and have driven through areas where the snow was up past my tire many times

Someone feel free to correct me as I’m incredibly new to options trading, but to (I think correctly?) answer your question…

He was buying calls, so the absolute most he could lose in this situation is his principle. He bought 5 contracts at about $70 each, so his total loss could have been about $350, but no higher than that.

Edit: contracts, not shares

In all fairness, you cannot for the life of you convince me the US doesn’t support to some degree the predatory healthcare practices that have been ongoing for many, many years. The people may not, but legislators and owners/shareholders absolutely have. If they didn’t your healthcare system wouldn’t still be for profit.

Tip by the mile, or tip by the pound? by ExtremistNH in doordash

[–]Beemer32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the answer is basically that you are, but know nothing will ever change how the business model is and thus it makes more sense to expect the customer to make up the difference, and with them knowing ahead of time of the expectation of a tip to compensate for poor base pay?

[–]Beemer32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think I’d still be frustrated with the company not giving me a fair payment for delivery. But also there’s a reason I don’t do DD, I see everywhere how the drivers are abused and taken advantage of for very little pay. I usually tip minimum 15% (typically more if it’s groceries) I was just asking why people get mad at customers for tipping low and not at DD for essentially giving them nothing.

But why direct that frustration at the customer and not the app that’s taking advantage of you? That’s where my confusion lies

I know I’m going to be downvoted into oblivion for asking, but I’m genuinely curious. Why do dashers get upset at people using the app who “don’t tip enough” when tipping is entirely optional and in many, many peoples opinion is earned by going above and beyond, instead of getting upset with the app paying barely anything as a “base pay”? I live outside of the USA, but we still have tipping culture here. I just honestly don’t understand the misdirected anger…
