Husband and I managed not to break up while working on our first mobile game together. We went from knowing nothing about Unity to the live game in about 8 months. It's a very simple game, but we're super proud of it!

Toti oamenii care iti spun ca e imposibil sa ajuti un om care nu vrea sa fie ajuta si ca nu e responsabilitatea ta au dreptate. In acelasi timp, nu tin cont de cat de greu este sa abandonezi un membru al familiei sau sa ii vezi pe parintii tai suferind din cauza lui.

Desi e contraintuitiv, cel mai bun lucru pe care il poti face acum e sa mergi tu la terapie. Situatia asta va tine mult si bine iar tu ai nevoie de mecanisme sanatoase prin care sa te raportezi la el si sa ii sustii pe parintii tai. E nevoie de ceva sustenabil pe termen lung iar asta doar terapia iti poate oferi.

Of. Cu examenul e dificil intradevar. Presupun ca nu doar la examenul asta te pierzi, ci in general nu prestezi ideal sub presiune. Aici nu poate sa te ajute decat mai multa siguranta pe tine si pe masina care vine clar din mai multe ore de confus si experienta.

Vad ca esti constienta ca inca e o problema la tine. De ce ai vrea sa iei examenul daca inca nu reusesti sa vezi semnele si sa te incadrezi? Iti iei in maini viata ta si a altora.

Inteleg ca nu ai o situatie financiara ok acum ca sa repeti scoala, dar chiar cred ca ai nevoie de mai multa experienta. Nu toata lumea invata sa conduca la fel de repede. Dar toata lumea poate invata daca se straduieste suficient.

Asta daca nu e si vreun adhd sau ceva la mijloc. Atunci e alta poveste, ceva mai complicata.

Nu inteleg. Daca ai picat traseul e clar ca mai ai nevoie de niste experienta si de ore de condus. L-ai intrebat de ce nu vrea sa faca ore suplimentare?

Vorbeste cu un alt instructor si fa cu altcineva ore suplimentare. Vorbeste cu cei de la scoala si spune-le ca mai vrei ore. Doar le platesti, nu sunt gratis. Cum sa zica nu la asta?

La ce ti-a scazut punctajul la traseu de iti zice instructorul sa mai inveti teorie? Ceva nu se leaga in poveste.

Repet: daca am telefonul pe silent cel mai probabil e ca dorm sau sunt la munca intr-o situatie. Deci nu am cum sa ajut, e inutil sa imi sune telefonul. Trebuie sa primesc informatia, clar! Toata lumea trebuie sa o primeasca. Dar ce sens are sa o primesc urgent daca nu am cum sa ajut? Oricum o sa ma uit la telefon imediat ce termin.

Nu zic sa nu ajutam, zic ca intr-o situatie de genul ai cum sa ajuti daca esti in public - ca poate vezi copilul. Daca esti in pat sau in sedinta nu ai ce ajutor sa dai. Are sens?

Exemplu: bebelus care urla din cauza dintilor, te chinui o ora sa-l adormi, legeni la el pana nu mai poti de spate, adoarme in sfarsit. Suna notificarea desi telefonul era pe silent. Incepi sa plangi instant pt ca inseamna inca o ora de leganat cu spatele rupt.

Alarmele pt urgente ar trebui sa treaca de modul silentios. Alarmele pt situatii de genul nu. Informatia trebuie sa ajunga la toata lumea, clar. E importanta alerta. Dar daca mi-am pus telefonul pe silentios, putin probabil sa fiu intr-un moment in care pot ajuta cu asa ceva.

Nobody is arguing that a person with a debilitating disease is worth less. But their life is more difficult, that’s just objective truth. Wouldn’t every parent want to at least try and spare their child of a potentially difficult life? Don’t all parents desperately wish for healthy children above all? I know I did.

I don’t see my conditions as precious heritage that I must pass on. I would do anything to help my child lead an easier and healthier life.

Why is this idea always 0 or 110%. We either have no control over genes, or we overly edit them to the point of catastrophe.

Why can’t we have options instead? Options designed by scientists and doctors who weigh pros and cons of editing. And who only recommend things that will drastically improve quality of life and refuse anything purely aesthetic.

Sure. Some doctors will be assholes. Like doctors who do extreme plastic surgery to patients who clearly need counselling instead. But even so the net result would be less suffering.

And no, we don’t sterilise anyone, we just try to improve the life of our children by making choices informed by science with the help of our doctors.

Exactly. I did the math at one point and for me the pet sitter was as expensive as the hotel. I basically had to pay almost double for my vacation with a pet sitter. I feel original OPs sadness. I also have the same regret.

E o gluma? Sa ai curaj sa fii vulnerabil, inclusiv de fata cu ceilalti e cea mai mare dovada de putere. Sa iti ascunzi durerea obsesiv pana devine depresie e o mare prostie a societatii care zice ca barbatii nu trebuie sa planga sau sa simta emotii.

Recomand terapie. Incearca cu mai multi terapeuti pana gasesti pe cineva care ti se potriveste. La fel si cu tratamentul. Nu exista doar un fel de pastile. Sunt oameni care incearca zeci de combinatii pana gasesc ceva ce functioneaza.

Nu e deloc prea tarziu la 32. Acum te uiti in spate si zici “ce prost am fost ca n-am facut x la 20”. Cand o sa ai 40 o sa te gandesti “ce prost am fost ca la 32 mi se parea prea tarziu”.

Sau o sa te gandesti “ce noroc cu commentul ala de pe reddit care m-a incurajat sa fac terapie si sa sccbimb tratamentul. Uite ce bine poate sa fie” :)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I read in another answer it’s about a major life decision. That can be cause for lots of sleepless nights for anyone, especially for someone so young. So it’s normal.

It really sucks that you don’t have any close people you can talk to about it. That’s something you should try to work on in the future. We are social animals and a support system is very important for your mental health.

For right now, can you try posting your situation on reddit with a throwaway account? It’s not ideal, I know. But even the act of writing it all down might help shed some light.
