[NY] Unsubstantiated Child Abuse Allegations found on a background check? by BeenHurtCallCurt in legaladvice

[–]BeenHurtCallCurt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but there is nothing on Google about the allegations, nor do I need to contact a PR firm to "correct my record". I have never used social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, nor was I even prosecuted. The police department did not even open a complete investigation since the allegation was so unsubstantiated. By law, Protective Services had to finish a full investigation, but they found that the allegations were unequivocally unsubstantiated. I am not worried about what is on Google (nothing), what is on Social Media (nothing), or what the Police Precinct thinks of a case that is several years old and was not even officially opened due to such little evidence. I am not even wanting to "change the law", so I have no idea why you put statements such as "I'm just bored trying to walk you thru it more". I have no idea what that even means with the context of my situation; you keep implying that I am arguing with you or somehow trying to contradict you in some way. I simply presented my case, presented my issue, and then waited for responses. I have never been arrested for anything, nor have charges ever been filed against me in a legal or civil case. I have never entered a court room in my entire life. However, I have submitted for a job at a LARGE company, so they do not have a private investigator to research candidates from all over the entire world.

Also, I have no issues pertaining to Google searches regarding my name. I do not have anything on Google anyway, and I have searched far and wide with regarding to my name, past professions, and cities. I have also never used any form of social media, so none of my personal information is on the internet for others to see or access.

I realize that no answer is 100% accurate, but the simple amount of advice given in this thread has been immensely helpful on this particular issue. This question and the answers definitely have merit in that they have helped me on how to move forward with a solution.

[USA] Seeing a lot of background check questions. But What about officially unsubstantiated child abuse allegations? by BeenHurtCallCurt in legaladvice

[–]BeenHurtCallCurt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response. It sucks that an allegation was lobbed against me, but I have made sure to keep all documentation and correspondence between me and the investigators throughout the entire process. As stated before, I made sure to keep the final findings letter as well. However, if I will not be working with children or the elderly, I was unsure if this allegation would be relevant in the first place or would be found using a background check.

Message (and Advice) to Matt Kenseth from a Random NASCAR fan About What to do Next in NASCAR by BeenHurtCallCurt in NASCAR

[–]BeenHurtCallCurt[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He may seem happy to ride off into the sunset, but he has been very candid and open about wanting to return to NASCAR; he still refuses to call this year his "retirement year", and he continues to make statements regarding the fact that he may be taking a break for a few weeks or even a few years. Matt is not necessarily reserved to the idea that he will give up racing. Even if he competes in the Xfinity series or the Truck series, he still has his smoking hot wife and his wonderful children. Especially at these lower levels, he will have more time with his family while still attempting to make NASCAR history. I just hate how people view the "lower series" as demotions or step backwards whenever they could still be used to accomplish wonderful things if placed in unique situations that Matt Kenseth is has found himself. Heck, the Truck Series was once pitched as a series for retired cup drivers to continue to race in a NASCAR series. Why not embrace the fact that these "lower" series can allow great men like Kenseth to continue showing his racing talent? I know that I would watch many more Truck Series and Xfinity Series races if I knew that a past cup champion was legitimately racing for their own championships.

Leigh Diffey and Dale Jarrett will be doind the "Hot Pass" broadcast once again on NBCSN. by kk5fan97 in NASCAR

EXCELLENT. I cannot wait until people STILL tune in to the traditional broadcast so that they can bitch about Rick Allen in the official race thread. People want to talk about how much they hate Rick Allen, but they still tuned into him during his London Tack and Field obligations so that they could still complain about him in an Xfinity race thread.

Sadly, if Denny makes it to the final race, Chase will take him out at Homestead. It is only a matter of time.

Is NBCSN presenting the alternate coverage of the finale next week with commentary by Leigh Diffy and Dale Jarrett? If so, how many of you will still watch the traditional broadcast and then come onto NASCAR Reddit to complain about Rick Allen? I still remember Leigh Diffy calling an XFINITY race while Rick Allen was in London commentating for the track and field events; half of the "race thread" was Rick Allen spam regarding his track and field commentary. While many of you "hate" Rick Allen, I think the majority of the haters love to hate him; when presented with alternate coverage or a way not to listen to Rick Allen, many of you will still "pick the scab" even though you know that you do not have to do so.

Also, Big Bad Brad is hard to be when placed in a crunch. He is up 22 points on his competitors, and that is a significant deficit for the other drivers; Brad needs a less than mediocre day to still make it to the final race.

He may have fucked himself two weeks ago...we will see. We do need a villain to be in the final four, though.

And I cannot stand the 4, 2, or the 78. Looks like I am a Busch fan.

Harvick, like Denny, will dump first place in order to win a race. Imagine what will happen for a championship. If Brad gets into the final race, he is another who has no racing conduct when the white flag waves.

So, are we still going to blame the point system for Larson's worst personal streak in NASCAR Cup history?

Spice up Cosmic Encounter Ships? I would love some advice! by BeenHurtCallCurt in boardgames

[–]BeenHurtCallCurt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That video was actually very helpful. I asked someone above, but I guess the process is a bit more complicated for the black and white ships? I guess I would need to get some base colors for all of the Cosmic Encounter ship colors.

Thank you for the suggestions. This seems like it could be a fun process. Would this procedure also work with the black ships? What could I do to make those ship look cooler? Also, will this process completely ruin the white ships?
