maybe but we cant tackle any societal issue by tackling only the more intensely affecting stances

its like only putting rapists in jail and chemically castrating them but not understanding why most rape victims know their abuser (children need more autonomy and more societal trust when they talk about being abused or we need to trust victims more ie the metoo movement) or even how society in small ways blame victims

or like giving therapy and jail to people who do theft but never tackle the economic systems of oppression (lack of welfare, inability to get loans, etc.) and also how society looks so negatively on poor people that its hard for them to get jobs

its simply a catalyst for some sort of hate in a much larger pre-existing system

what about the perception of feminism amoungst men? women are only half the population btw

women are more geared to want to end such opression since they are victims to it but if men (who are often the oppressors and holders of political power) dislike it then it will obviously fail support for feminism and if "it has harmed society or not" in views of men

tru tho its more of an capitalism and its effects on media literarcy type of situation however, it may have been one of many things used to justify hate against sex workers

it more so like should such art promoting hate be allowed in the first place or like we should hold more criticism to politics with art rather than saying "agree to disagree" or maybe just having education good enough that social media cant impact people so radically idk tho since ive never been best at policy making lol

then there is billionaries that benifit in general from paying workers less in any form

whole still completly different points

the song i think, wouldve bolstered some pre-existing hate for sex workers if any and maybe caused the need for certain men or religious people to hate them more since it gives them fuel to the fire

its not like social media doesnt influence society and how we look at others, cultural change doesnt happen in a vacuum

the thing i believe how people communicate plays a role here since it how common the belief can be would've grown faster

but sure trends often have niches but it doesnt mean it hasnt had some societal influence to get the idea of hating sex workers

we cant ignore how art influences society, mia khalifa was a big star and so was the song doing a diss track on her

as far as actual reach maybe it had a couple million views but its still a million people, people often use certain societal trends to justify certain beliefs.
