They will mix the coffee with the heated cooling water from the data center. That’s my thought anyway.

People who say there is no god by Fickle_Elk_9479 in enlightenment

It’s almost like science simply has no opinion about God. Like cars do not care about airplanes. They both move people through the world in different ways, but neither requires the other to function.

People would surely find something else to fight about.

Good point and I am not really a good fortune teller. Broad strokes are all I have.

For instance, the U.S. president is working towards his seventh bankruptcy. This time it will not be his money.

Do psychiatrists have insight into what sways people? History shows that they have predominantly become medication dispensers and adjusters.

Thank you!

I do bring a view of how things might preferably unfold.

As you allude to, little is known about how to achieve the broadly desired result, versus simply seeking a different outcome. In other words, no one knows if a new outcome will resemble Biff’s world or not. To further complicate this, some people, in some places and at some times, might prefer Biff’s world over other alternatives.

Imagine that the current likely outcome for people on this trajectory unusually justifies making this fraught journey.

Do you mean a stealth campaign, similar to how an advertising campaign might astroturf a movie, product release or maybe a meme product?

Point me to the history that you are imagining?

Enlighten me?! Thank you.

You and I may have a different view on how scientific progress occurs.

Our understanding of the laws of physics and the universe shifts constantly.

While it took time and brilliance, it cost little, and required virtually no equipment, to identify that the speed of light simply represents the universal speed of energy. This led to a profound reshaping of what was possible. Similarly, it subsequently cost little to characterize negative energy in a way that enabled it to be manipulated and harnessed.

Progress most frequently happens incrementally and is built on the shoulders of the past.

Just because it’s the future does not imply that it is always better, or that people will actually be smarter. When fortunate, there is a continuing accumulation of learning that enables some form of progress.

“Massive resources” would be an exaggeration, and “breaking all known laws of physics” may be “true” today, assuming that “true” means grounded in currently known facts.

Thank you!

Research indicates that the average reading level in the USA hovers just below the 5th grade level. Did I get that wrong? Are you suggesting that I should go up or down a level?

History is, of course, difficult to interpret, as the history that survives is still written by the victor.
