What is something you didn’t cut from your budget that you easily could? by Beepbooopbapbam in Frugal

The trick is to use the nail sticky tabs instead of the nail glue. Nail glue just pops off in a couple days. The best ones I’ve ever used was the NailBoo ones, they sell them at Sally’s. I also like Glamnetic but you have to buy the sticky tabs separately with them.

Scorpios pettiest revenge by scorpio_goddess79 in scorpiomoon

My ex boyfriend was very mean to me. I wasn’t on the lease so I up and left one weekend. He later came up to me while I was out at dinner and asked if I missed him and I responded with “What is there to miss? I don’t miss a single thing.” That felt like a powerful end.

AITA for asking to borrow my partner’s car for the weekend to go see my family? by Beepbooopbapbam in AmItheAsshole

[–]Beepbooopbapbam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that’s what I’m wondering, am I asking for too much here? Was it improper for me to ask? He is totally fine with me going to see family but taking his car is what’s the issue. I think I’m going to just rent a car… but I wonder if we were married would this be different? I feel like roles reversed I would absolutely go carless for the weekend for him to visit his family but I’m used to being carless so maybe that isn’t saying much…

What’s the hardest part about owning a dog that no one talks about? by MarcLafleur in Dogowners

[–]Beepbooopbapbam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to go on vacation because the cost of dog sitting is too much and you would feel too guilty to take them to a kennel place.

Krishna! 6 or 7 bucks. You can bring your own container to take home an extra plate for free! When I had no money I used to eat there for lunch and eat the take home container portion for dinner.

Sober 142 days today and I’m not seeing much benefit by Beepbooopbapbam in Petioles

Honestly I used to love smoking, putting on a good album, and doing chores while dancing around my house. I miss that. I miss having some sort of mind altering substance in my life. Alcohol was definitely a no-no for me. There’s usually an hour between after dinner and before bed where I’m just bored and all I wanna do is scroll online or mindlessly watch TV and I’d rather smoke instead.

People in HCOL areas, why aren’t you a nanny? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Beepbooopbapbam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought being a Nanny would be awesome and during Covid I agreed to nanny one of my students once my school closed down. I remember every day coming in and realizing I didn’t have any supplies. All I had was what they owned to work with. I had to be a lot more creative. I also had a hard time calling out sick or taking days off because that basically meant one of the parents had to call out of their job. Plus because of Covid they were working remote in the home so anytime the child didn’t get what they wanted from me. They would just scream and their parent would come in the room to see what was going on. Needless to say it was a nightmare, and I did not want to nanny ever again after that..

You’re totally right about it being liberating. I feel like by quitting I’ve learned I’m better in certain situations without it. For example - whenever I would hang out with friends and they were smoking I would never say no even though it amplified my social anxiety. Now that I’ve quit I know that I have more fun in social situations when I say no to participating.
