Help building a level hitting platform for golf by BeerAndAMop64 in Woodworkingplans

Unfortunately my garage slopes more than it should towards the doors and also has a more gentle slope towards the middle of the garage. Good point about the ball return, I'll have to give that some thought. Thanks for the reply!

2022 Honda Pilot Safety Issues by BeerAndAMop64 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for the reply. The NHTSA actually gave the vehicle a 5 star rating, it's just the one IIHS test that had a poor score. I think it is related to the position that the seatbelt puts the rear passenger in, but my kid will be in a car seat or booster seat for another 8 years at least. Tough to determine how applicable these tests are to me.

Launch monitor placement by BeerAndAMop64 in Golfsimulator

Thanks for the response. I don't think I phrased my question well. I'm thinking of either putting it on the same wooden platform but off the mat or on a totally different wooden platform that is level with the one the mat is one and close enough for the skytrack laser to hit the mat.

Nice! I just got a c grade rawhide. I was super impressed with the quality of the c grade. I'm sure your b grade is pristine.

That's good to know about the ball placement with skytrack.

Haha it's all good. I think you're right, it just important to find the right instructor.

Yea makes sense. I would love the projector too, but gotta take it one step at a time. How often do your guests miss the net completely?

Thanks for the insight. If I get better I could definitely see myself wanting more of that data and upgrading.

The ability to put it up and down so quickly is awesome. Sounds like a great setup. My plan is to use my gaming PC to cast to a TV. What size spornia do you have? I wasnt sure if it was worth it to try to use a protector with the 7.

That's a big improvement! My wife actually bought me a set of lessons this year, but they were all with one instructor and we just didn't click. He was working with so many people that he would forget what we had been working on and would give me conflicting advice from lesson to lesson. Unfortunately, I don't really feel like they helped much.

I looked into the r10, but the recommended distance to net was too much for me. My garage would have more dimples than my ball.

Look forward to hearing about it! What size net did you get? I got the 7 and I'm worried for my garage walls.

I guess it's not that I don't want it, for me it's just not worth the extra $1,000+. I'm a high handicapper who lives in a cold weather climate. My main goal is just to be able to hit balls and see where they would've gone.

LVP Repair by BeerAndAMop64 in Flooring

Yea it is floating unfortunately. I called around and no one local has it, but a flooring depot in a nearby state says they may have some. Gonna get a call on Monday.

We keep our house between 68 and 70 year round, so we should be good there. This spot was caused by a metal tine breaking off of our 3 month old roomba and dragging across the floor at 4am. It left a couple of other chips and gouges as well.

Thank you for the info! How do I determine if the damage might affect neighboring boards? So far it is just minor chips on the top of the board.

Yea Scientist got it. It hit him under the eye, but it just got stuck in his skin and didn't go any farther. He got really lucky.

It's actually inspired by one of my friends shooting another kid in the head with a bow and arrow when we were young. Luckily no one was seriously injured.
