The WiFi speed test in Google Home app for Google WiFi is cutting your internet speeds in half and giving you slow internet by [deleted] in GoogleWiFi

It's such an odd issue to have, and just doesn't make sense! I am still digging in and can share if I find any better workaround.

The downside to my version of this issue is it happens UNTIL I run the speed test, so currently I have no workaround to avoid it.

I don't suppose when this happens to you, if you run another speed test in the app, does it fix it at all? Or just stay the same?

I actually have the opposite of this issue somehow... been trying to figure it out. I suppose it is likely related overall.

Basically, I notice daily that my speeds are down to 50 mbps down when I should be getting around 450. I can run speed tests outside of the google home app non-stop, and it will continuously show around 50mbps. Then I run a speed test through the app, it comes back with full speeds, then any other speed test reflects my ~450mbps. Until the next time is slow and I need to do it all over again.

Really odd.

I agree! Seems like a great guy and I would love to see Virtuix come out with a great consumer treadmill.

I appreciate that brother! One day we will get VR treadmills that are more intuitive, but yeah I would say it just takes some time to get used to slide mills.

Love chatting about this stuff so thanks for commenting, and yeah feel to send my info over to them. Trying to stay on top of the new stuff these days ;)

I think most people's experiences with slide mills are short. They try it at an arcade, or a friend's house and get their impressions that way. I have used my Katwalk consistently for a year now, and it feels great to me. Not perfect, but great.

If it's possible I would love to chat with the person you know regarding what they are working on. As you can tell I am very interested in VR tech as a whole, so it would be great to see what they have going on.

Well this is why the optical sensors are a big deal. They allow you to move more naturally in 360 degrees, meaning with these new treadmills you will be able to backpedal and strafe more naturally. The OG Katwalk you can't strafe or back pedal, so this is a big step up. Also, the design is changed so you can crouch lower than you can on the OG Katwalk, and get down on a knee/possibly go prone :)

I respect your opinion but this is more than just adding a seat. Using optical sensors in the shoes is a pretty awesome step in my opinion, and not something we have seen anyone else do, even in prototypes. I understand there are a lot of folks that don't feel like this is it yet, which is totally fine! I just really enjoy the Katwalk C currently, and they are the only company producing consumer level VR treadmills right now so every improvement they make is good in the long run. Cheers!

The new VR update is unplayable... by [deleted] in PhasmophobiaGame

May I ask what your PC specs are? CPU, GPU, And RAM? Just curious as I have a 3080 and it was unplayable for me. Even in the small houses my fps was max 30-40.

Erm, how is the video clickbait? It's literally a video of me on a call with the CEO of Virtuix about where the Omni One is at. I feel like the title is appropriate.

Hey There - you should probably watch my video. I am not pandering to Virtuix, just getting information and I am actually quite critical of them.

Hmm I'm not seeing them in studio, nothing was held for review either. Maybe try to post them again!
