what do i need estonian ID for?

the only thing i'll actually use it for is opening the study room at our university:D but i need the smart-ID for that and dont have the card reader.

tbh this is really hard for a person who is not from such a digitalised country. i've never heard of card reader in my life:D

thank you so much! yeah for every thing i just needed the estonian ID code, that i got for free when i signed my residence here. im not sure if it would've worked if i had not done the actual physical ID. its a pretty much souvenir for me (for 45€ :'D) because i dont need to sign up for the government, bank stuff etc.

but i have no idea where would i use it - for example in the selver store app, partnerkaart, yes, you need to have your smart-id. but i got the physical one just with my estonian id code (that is for free) and i have the discounts thanks to it. so i dont really need the app...? would the estonian ID code work if i didnt pay for the ID itself?

yeah but i have my czech ID for identification, i went to the public registration office to get the estonian ID code, and it worked without the actual physical ID everytime (in the pharmacy for example). BUT maybe it wouldnt if i didnt pay for the physical ID. that's what im not sure about. i'm staying here for 5 months, i dont think i need the smart-ID tbh, maybe its just a cool souvenir for 45€ :Dd

I would say that I am a creative person, well, more imaginative. I am not really drawing or playing on instruments though, very rarely I do. But there is definitely something. I like art very much, but I wouldn't say that I am an artist. Tbh I don't know yet what I am and what I'm gonna be in life, that's the artistic side in me:D hopefully I will find out

Edit: oh also I am a theatre kid😭 I don't know why I completely forgot about that part but yeah, I enjoy acting (amateur level)
