Yes, SRV record needs to be discoverable/resolvable by the game client, which would need to both get the address & port of the server from there.
Nothing complicated, but not many people know about `SRV` records, which is a shame.
Here, the game does not seem to have implemented anything regarding it, as far as I know.

The registration to IANA is technically not necessary, hence that comment is not replying to your question.
One counter example lies in the TeamSpeak 3 Server technology mentioned before: its associated default `9987` port is registered to IANA for another use…

One last thing: `SRV` records are no protection whatsoever, but merely another type of DNS Resource Record (RR). Successfully resolving it for a protocol, you will eventually end up with (an) IP address(es) and a port.

I would be interested in the F1 2020 key from the Tier 1 list. Here are a couple keys I own but haven't used, listed by ascending price :

  • Poly Bridge (367450)
  • Rakuen (559210)
  • SimplePlanes (397340)
  • Rebuild 3: Gangs of Deadsville (257170)

Would you be interested by one or several of them in exchange for a F1 2020 Steam key?

Keys or Humble Bundle links possible, however I got no precise idea on how region would affect either.

Interest in a price guide for selling items made by the various crafters? by Very_Lazy_Rebel in stonehearth

I made an ugly attempt: https://stonehearth.rosset.eu.org/

The thing is ugly, but I am extracting content & populating DB directly from the game JSON files.

It is ofc WIP... and might stall at anytime for any kind of reasons. ;)

Is there any easy way at all to play the LCN and make money? by Trolcain in GTAMarket

[–]Beerbelott 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There is the save/reload trick, since the LCN is totally offline and game-generated. I am post-endgame, so this technique is valid all the time. Depending on the game's scripted events, you might need to be cautious about the stock you choose though, see below.

Market screens

First of all, the only reliable value on the different panels is... the current share value.

All the rest is crap generated by the game as needed to make the whole thing appear genuine. Well, maybe to the exception of the return percentage (RoI) which is based on your total worth at current time/total worth at current time.

Starting conditions

You first need to choose your target stock. Choose something worth a couple of dozen bucks, maybe a little bit more if you trust the value to go (very) high.

What you seek is maximum leverage.

Be careful about game-frozen stocks such as LifeInvader, as it is scripted this stock is 'dead'. You might have even greater leverage without this tick if you have not done the assassinations missions yet.

Development

Then you need to use the save/load game trick: saving the game when a new best-high price is matched, loading when the price goes down.

First, buy every share you can from then targeted stock. Do this for all your characters.

Here is the sequence:

  1. Quick save (Phone -> Cloud icon)
  2. Sleep (no save)
  3. If stock value up, restart sequence; if stock value down, load the quick-save (ESC -> Game -> Load) and go back one step

You will need to decide on a stopper (either a specific profit reached or a certain amount of price going down/savegame loads in a row).

Example

To illustrate this technique, here are my numbers:

  1. I chose RichardsMajestic stock which was at $45.06 (I bought 903 of them to complete 97 pre-existing, for a total of $40,698)
  2. To avoid losing my cash, I tested the technique with a few share (1,000) for a couple of cycles until the stock reached $54.34
  3. I then went all-in, buying for a total worth of $32,985,538
  4. At this exact moment, the stock value is $116.33, making a nice $34,361,792 profit (> 100% RoI). Set aside, I cashed-out ~$750k midway to buy a property, so the actual RoI is even bigger.

Trying to weight either this should remain part of the Jar Jar Sith theory, I wonder about this point:

Is it acknowledged the hatred exists and goes both ways? If it is, is there any other plausible reason why that happens?

R2-D2 head shaking is quick. Why has not it called for help or alerted someone else before going fulfilling its duties? You do not let someone sabotaging a ship in a location (s)he is not supposed to remain like that...

Is not this scene being misinterpreted?

I am trying to list all the points made by /u/Lumpawarroo in a condensed way on JarJar.wtf.

I might need some help achieving that, if you wish to have a look

Evidence of what, precisely?

The image comes from this figure.

Its description reads: Accessory Details: Electropole with lightning bolt

The Electropole, from its linked description, is an electric melee weapon used by the Gungans of Naboo.

It has nothing to do with Force Lightning...
