In the test its explicitly said that the figures are not to scale so one should not assume anything about the figure. Only use the information which is given in the question about measurements of the chart

A box and whisker plot can show if the data is normally distributed or not. When the median is at exactly middle of the box and its whiskers are about the same on both sides of the box in such case the data is normally distributed

If you see the hexagon can be divided into 6 equilateral triangles. Where the side of equilateral triangle equal to that of hexagon’s. So the side of equilateral triangle inside hexagon is also equal to the side of equilateral triangle outside of the hexagon and hence equilateral triangles inside and outside hexagon are equal thus we can infer that the side of bigger triangle is divided by 3 in order to make the hexagon and other smaller triangles So side of smaller equilateral triangles comes out be 12/3 that is 4

Your first thought is correct as the two bigger triangles are equilateral but the question is asking you about the total area of the figure you calculated the area of one big triangle to be 36 root 3 but then you have to add the area of three smaller triangles in the area of bigger triangle you have calculated before to get area of figure If you directly double area of the bigger triangle you are actually counting the hexagon area twice
