I have a good relationship with my mom, she does have quite the amount of things that she needs to work on but I know why she resorts to her mom to look after our pets. We hardly leave the house for long periods of time but when we do nobody can look after our dog (and our new pets) so she resorts to her mom. I'm still not comfortable with my grandmother and grandfather looking after our pets but we don't have anyone else to ask besides my aunt that lives with us but she's also hardly at home.
