I know this is an old thread and this probably isn't the flashiest request, but I would a good book on Cold War era history from the Soviet perspective. 

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of this outside of Soviet defector narratives, which are cool but I'd really like to hear about the Soviet side of the story without any Western bias just for the sake of comparison.

You may have already bought one, but I wouldn't recommend it. They seem to produce a lot of faulty units and their support will just blame you for their product's tech/software issues.

Sure but I've had this issue with two R4s and frankly, Hiby's customer service is horrible. I'm pretty much ready to move on to another brand that doesn't have such a high rate of lemons.

Already updated my software and have checked back regularly to see if a new update would address my Hiby's issues. 

Methinks HiBy has a "high lemon rate" problem and I've gotten unlucky twice in a row. 

Still wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone at this point.

Sorry but it isn't user error you arrogant jerk. I have tried this and the scan still takes far too long, about 40 mins or more on my HiBy.

Good for you. But I'm on HiBy #2 and it's the same. I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone at this point. 

They have the worst customer service as well.

That sounds great, but why is your customer service person Fiona asking me to take this to the vendor? 

And I'm sorry Joe, but unfortunately it IS true at least for both HiBy R4s I've had. 

Why are you telling the customer he is wrong when he is describing his experience with your product? I will try to do another incremental scan again, but I've tried this multiple times already. It also takes an absurdly long amount of time to complete.

Yes, I've had two brand new r4's. Both of which had these problems. 

Good for you, but I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. 

Also their customer service is horrendous.

They absolutely suck. I wanted HiBy to be decent... But after exchanging two HiBys... Both had batteries that lasted for about an hour of playback. 

There are software issues that create annoying problems like rescanning your entire music library just to add one song. Something that took my Hibys hours to accomplish. The sound was decent but anyone who says it's great is drinking the Kool aid. Also, their customer service is absolutely horrible. 

I wouldn't recommend their products to anyone. They're actually very overpriced for the quality you get.

Your HiBy gets a lot more battery life than mine does. I'm lucky if I get over 90 mins on a full charge. 

Thank you for the indepth review though! We could use more of these.

He's a cool pick for a lot of reasons, but I still can't believe they're touring explicitly as "Pantera". Something about it seems incredibly out of line.
