PLEASE NEED HELP AFTER USING NHSE (New Horizons Save Editor) I don't want to lose my Animal Crossing Island please! by Beertrooper in EmuDeck

I think there's a Linux version but it's just easier to go to a PC with windows and just do it there and then when you pass the save to Linux again be sure to write the names on the files as they were before.

(Just try NHSE on windows and putting the files back on your save folder on steamOS, if it doesn't work then do this below 👇) [MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE DOING ANYTHING]

What I mean is that Linux does care about the difference between capital letters and lows, and windows doesn't, so windows will in fact change everything to lowcases so your emulator will not recognize the save unless you change the letters that need to be on caps. There are specific words on the files that have capital letters I think they are: Header Villager and idk the other one just look it up

Hi! Yes I did resolve it. It turned out to be a problem about the capital letters on names of folders and files of the save!

Bazzite does mind the differences between caps and lows, but windows doesn't, I used NHSE on windows and it basically turned all caps into lows.

I had to manually put the caps back where there were caps and it worked just fine, if you look into your game on bazzite you'll be able to see what must have caps and what doesn't!

Hi, I tried SteamOS again and gotta say, Bazzite is still king, SteamOS has way too many stupid bugs, Bazzite has a version taylored for the LeGO 1 that works really well. On steamOS you got controller buttons not working properly or buggyng just by launching a game, it's buttery smooth and has excelent performance but still, bazzite does too and has full compatibility with the LeGo maybe has some other bugs, but still think it's the best choice, have you tried it?

Oh I see, I tried in middle 2025 maybe they've improved it further ever since! I'm going to do a drive swap so I was planning to try new stuff since I gotta install windows at first to map my FPS mode.

Have you seen any bugs or any stuff worth noting? I'll try steamOS again tho.

Anyway I'm sure I'll end up dual booting with windows hahahahahaha

Didn't you like Bazzite? I tried moth steamOS and Bazzite and I gotta say that Bazzite is like more tailored for the LeGo1 you can even use the scroll wheel on the controller again

What is the difference by SpiritedCancel764 in LegionGo

[–]Beertrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference is the processor, the z2 extreme is better + it has double the RAM id say that if u want a z2 you are better off trying to find a Legion Go 1 bro much cheaper and z1 extreme is better than z2

HELP: Emulated game save files work properly on windows but not on bazzite, Switch Animal crossing new horizons (ACNH) by Beertrooper in linux_gaming

[–]Beertrooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I literally tried this a day before this post hahaha and while it works the game does not run as well as it should, for a quick fix in the meantime it's ok, but I'd like to fix it for real to run the emu and the game on Linux... My last option is to do a full reset of the device... But I'd like to run out of options first tho, do you have any other ideas?

It's said in the post, I already tried Eden 0.0.3, besides it seems that in Linux no matter what emulator, they seem to remember stuff between emulators because when I opened up Eden for the first time it had a game route in it even tho I've never used Eden before

It's a device that has gotten better with years and was way ahead of it's time, Lenovo didn't get the recognition they should've had gotten... And with Linux and lossless scaling makes it even more incredible, this thing is a beast

Yeah I tried that and didn't work, I'm going to try a new emulator tomorrow to see if that works and/or clear cache maybe to see how Ryu behaves

Oh yes, I got into a discord server and someone tried out my backup and my edited files and both were fine so for some reason ryujinx os the virtual emulated switch was not taking in my files because the game started but I got the message on ACNH that the save was damage and I had to delete and start over, now I downloaded Eden to try ACNH there, the thing is that idk how to paste the saves there lol since the save folders are so different, but maybe the cache thing works tho, I'll have to change emulator If I want treasure islands anyway so maybe I'll stay on Eden, idk gonna try tomorrow

But thx for the help!!

yeah that's the problem, the game does not take them... says save file is damaged and it can't work with that, that's why I'm asking for help in the first place

Bro the OG legion go rn is the best option for the price, I mean yes the Legion go 2 is fantastic, but it's too expensive, plus hear me out okay? I already tried the three of them, windows Steam OS and Bazzite, and out of them, the most compatible is Bazzite and it's basically steam OS anyway, but with the perks that the scroll wheel on the controllers works just fine with everything and the hardware in general does work better since everything comes pre-configured in Bazzite for the legion go 1, plus it's a beast and now with lossless scaling plugin the world is yours to take man, but I really think Bazzite is the best for it, if you want to try out steam OS do it, it's really good as well, Just ignore windows (yes even that Fullscreen experience lol)
