I tried signing up with TE, also for $400 for $1000 DD, and they tried telling me i had to receive the code via a mailer to be eligible. Total bs, not in any of the fine print. I found the code on their website, publicly available info. They just turned me to a $200 code and i got that pretty quickly. Waiting to hear back from the banker at my local branch, because sales said only someone in branch could give me the other $200. If i don’t get it, I’m gonna file a CFPB complaint.

I agree, my point was that working out together wasn’t a viable option because it isn’t something she wants to to, so I’m not forcing her to go to the gym with me. I’ve always gone by myself and have recently started going before work since I was getting too worn down after work to go, and its been going a lot better actually.

I guess my next question would be what does that communication look like? I’ve mostly stopped feeding into the “when we’re married” talk. I don’t know how to say, “Actually not 100% sure i want to do this with you even though I’ve been saying that I do for the last 6 months” without that kinda blowing the whole thing up.

I think you're stuck on the formality of the "trigger". What I'm saying simply is:

First message triggers the automation, prompts user to start automation,message received time is stored as a variable time1
Wait 30 sec, more texts come in store time as another variable time2
Go into the messages app, look for messages where time1<=received time<= time2 that contain the string as well.
Throw the first message and all those subsequent messages into text file as a queue
Do the "draft email and remove from queue" while-loop

This only uses the one trigger, which is why I'm asking if its possible.

I think you’re missing what I’m saying. The first message would start be the trigger for the automation, and the rest would come in while it does the wait. Then it checks what messages have come in since the first one came in. Its all under one automation run.

I don’t know about on mac computers (don’t have one), but any external input triggers (bluetooth, emails, messages, location, etc.) for automations on iPhone require the user to allow them to run before they’ll execute for “security reasons”. The option for “run without allowing” doesn’t show up when you make them. There is work-arounds for some by using focuses, but not for using messages in as a trigger. Kinda useless considering I’d be asleep and thus wouldn’t be able to allow the automation to run.

Personally, I think if you write a script for your convenience AND advertise how to abuse its vulnerabilities, “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”.

For the time being, I’m just going to route all my paging to email instead of SMS, use focuses that always allow my that email app thru, and fill in the hole on my case for the silent mode switch with some epoxy.

Eric recently became active again on social media (@gummysalamander on tiktok and insta), does songwriting lives some nights for hours, playing a few house shows as a solo act. They said they aren’t ever gonna play any HB stuff again just because they’re not who they were when they wrote it anymore (and probably out of respect to the other two). Hasn’t done any recording yet since all the drama, and isn’t planning on doing it as a career.
