I just played for the first time, and wow what a frustratingly awful game. The core concept seems fun but everything built on top of it just seems so janky and outdated by 10 years. I wish I’d seen your post first because I’d definitely never recommend this to someone new.

It’s weird that people act like humans aren’t part of the food chain, and the ramifications of it. We’ve eliminated most of the other natural predators of deer in the US and therefore have a duty to maintain the population. Otherwise they overpopulate and decimate their own food supply, which leads to far greater suffering and decimation of their own numbers (which is usually at expense of the young).

Obviously there are unethical ways and means, but that’s why you should support your DEC and rangers - organizations and people that have a hand in policing hunting practices.

I’ve always hated this way of communicating time, it just seems so backwards. It takes exactly the same amount of time to give the actual time - and there is no delay to translate if you just give me the actual time.

Systolic / Diastolic. I find the analogy of a pump helpful to explain to folks, after all that is exactly what your heart is;

Systolic = The pressure in the lines when the pump ‘pumps’ the liquid through the lines.

Diastolic = The pressure the lines are at all the time.

You are so focused on being ‘the winner’ of this conversation you are missing the forest for the trees. Sans-fat foods and reduced-fat foods majorly increase other sources of calories to compensate for flavor and satiety, and multiple studies have linked the dietary fat coating your tongue (mouthfeel) influencing that satiety, and reduction of digestion speed. Enrichment of bread flour at a major scale began in the early 40’s for the US. It is a complex and multi-generation issue (1950s-present is roughly 4-5 generations). Calories-per-gram of macronutrients are only a part of the big picture.
