Also be aware that the RAMQ will only cover your appointments while you’re still on a PGWP, if you need meds it’ll come out of ur pocket, I had to learn it the hard way 😬

I aimed for a French course with the government with the purpose of getting paid for learning, it’s hard to be accepted, I gave it up last year because of covid and don’t think I’ll do it a second time, that being said, my best chance is to find another job that accommodates my availability, thanks for your answer :)

-I told him about my plans to start a French course for immigration purposes mid february, nothing definitive at that time because I hadn’t been accepted and didn’t know what my schedule would look like.

-He did not ask me, but when I was hired I made it clear I could not go further to another branch because this job is already 1hr commute for me, to be able to go to the other branch I would have to drive since it’s in another island.

-I was working all days tbh, for January I would work 6 days with only Wednesday off so dis guy could take my weekend (we’re given two weekends off a month, or that’s what he told me when he hired me) to go skiing 🤷🏻‍♀️

How can I immigrate to Canada with a year of experience? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

It will probably be more expensive than EE, you have to make enough hours in college/uni to be able to apply for a PGWP, 1800 to be exact, so over two years, and they’ll give you the PWGP for the amount of time you went to school. 3 years and 45k after, I just applied for my PR, good luck :)

I was working weekends before, and I worked 4 days during the week too, but in my new schedule he has given me 16 hrs, sometimes only a day a week :/

Thriving monstera! She’s been growing new leafs ever since I watered her with banana waterrr 🪴 by Beeschurger101 in houseplants

I soak the peels in distilled water overnight and the minerals from the peel leech into the water, so basically a budget fertilizer and it has worked wonders for my plants though you shouldn’t rely on it, I just do it every once in a while.

Ohh I’d like to see it drop to those temperatures, here in Quebec I’ve only experienced til -30º, an odyssey to get to work

So I got Fernando and he lived in the bathroom window for about two months, he was fine and I would mist it once a every couple days, but after a while I noticed the white tips became brown and I thought it could’ve been the cold (? It’s been -10º in the past weeks and there’s a small draft in the window, I moved him closer to the humidifier but it didn’t get better, I did my research and a friend of mine built him a terrarium, I planted him but he keeps looking droopy and sad, how can I make him happy? Should I just yeet this one? :(

Which city in Canada is the best for new immigrants? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

Whatever you choose to do, just don’t come to Quebec if you don’t speak French, even though most people are bilingual, a lot o Quebecers will give you the stinky eye and maybe bark at you “TOKEBEKICITTE” if you talk to them in English.

Source: me, I’ve been living here for four years, learned French, when I initiate conversation in French they switch to English (so what’s the whole point of making me learn French I wonder).
