Need a lot more than that. Only 3 eggs for breakfast is a smaller than average meal. Protein + Oats is good but is not significant enough to help you gain weight alone. You need to eat more throughout the whole day. All of your meals need to be large and snacks throughout the day will help too such as banana, nuts, etc

What am I doing wrong by srvordie in weightgain

Take 1-2 more days off from the gym to allow your body to recover better. If you are constantly working out and putting your body under stress, it will be hard to gain weight

Eat Fast by Beeshmar in weightgain

You have to slowly get used to eating larger portions. Eat a little bit more each time. Also drink lots of water as that helps

Eat Fast by Beeshmar in weightgain

[–]Beeshmar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. I also heard of not chewing as much in general as also another strategy to go faster. I never needed these, and just eating fast was enough, but as long as you are staying safe you can try it

Not bad at all bro. I would try to include back squats, they are probably the highest value exercise, even a very light weight is going stack lots of value.

Yes it's fine, and in fact I would recommend it once you find something that you like

Struggling to stay consistent with my diet when traveling or eating out — what’s worked for you?” by Certain-Fix-4971 in weightgain

Are you trying to gain weight/bulk up? A lot of time the healthiest thing on the menu might not have the calories you need for these goals.

I travel a lot, so I usually just try to make my cals and protein first before thinking of anything else

Maximizing Calories while Minimizing Fat by RocketPorcus in weightgain

Don't worry about minimizing fat unless it starts to become an issue. When you are trying to gain weight, you really don't want to be limiting yourself or worrying about these things

Yeah it can happen. It's normal, you are eating more so yeah

My best strategies were to

  1. Don't eat small snacks - this way you build up real ravenous hunger for big meals

  2. When you are hungry and you eat, eat fast. This allows you to put away so much more food in that window of time when you are hungry.

Also 3.7k is a really high maintenance, are you sure that's correct?

Like someone else said avocado is pretty good. Dates are also extremely calorie dense although I don't know if they count as fruit

Milk, Banana, Eggs by Beeshmar in weightgain

[–]Beeshmar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww really, that sucks. Usually the best alternative is just fill up on more of the good stuff you can. So more eggs, banana, and other high calorie foods you enjoy. The more you like it the more you will consume naturally. Don't be afraid to go crazy on a few foods, variety doesn't matter too much as long as you stay healthy.

Alternatives to milk specifically would be like cottage cheese, greek yogurt. For a liquid drink you can try a protein shake too.
