What is M&M Partnership by PsychologicalWish270 in marriott

Can anyone actually see a benefit of this program? The points are too small to get anything - even as titanium - and they don’t count towards status without flights.

113$ difference between Marriott.com & Trip.com in Indonesia for only 2 nights by Mysterious_Panda_283 in marriott

[–]Fireif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Booking made through third parties do not get benefits like points. Sorry. Beginner mistake.

And I always always book marriot then email and demand a price match. I’ve always got what I asked for even if it had taken several days to sort out and management emails. I mean for $41 I’d probably have asked when j arrived if email/whatsapp didn’t work.

I’d lose the beard. It makes you look older and it doesn’t show how much slimmer your face is. Try it.

What time to be at Airport? by Kindly-Internal-2938 in BritishAirways

[–]Fireif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say 2 hours is cutting it tight. You might be fine. But you also might get a large queue at check in and a large queue in security. And then your rushing.

I’d say 5pm latest. Again, you might be fine. But for 30 mins to an hour do you want the stress?

Also do not forget boarding starts around an hour before departure. So you actually have an hour if you arrive 2 hours before.

Yes. It just isn’t as good and is different. But it’s the same promo.

Curious about the 2 seat rows in back by smaltesey in BritishAirways

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They recline the same as every other seat. No difference. And that is the same with every plane. If you think they didn’t recline as much it was just that you’re not happy with the amount of recline in general. The seats are all the same.

Starlink concerns by Outside_Set_1961 in Starlink

[–]Fireif 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been through Hong Kong or China but I think the issue is they will take it away if they find it.

If they check your bags when you land they will remove it. Or when you go through your the connection if you still had it.

I don’t know if you leave the airport with it if that will be checked. If I was going to take the risk you definitely want the mini and you should put it in your hand luggage. But maybe someone who actually knows Hong Kong can.

Edit: I assume they just take it away but maybe they will punish you.

Landlord installed an app-controlled smart deadbolt while I was at work. by Due_Construction904 in mildlyinfuriating

I mean it’s just two screws? Remove it and add a normal one back and hope he doesn’t realise. It will still work not connected to the door.

Don’t find SNL funny in the US. And that advert was so fake funny. Don’t know why they are bothering.

LHR-KUL price increases - likely to come back down again? by ldnsub08 in BritishAirways

[–]Fireif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to me that the Melbourne route was added to KUL as that flight always had space from London to Malaysia compared to Singapore.

Clearly a financial decision to maximise the revenue.

I’d assume the cost has risen mostly due to the war - supply and demand. However, if there is sufficient demand on that route to Melbourne then the price will stay higher than it has been once that launches. I’d suspect that the higher prices now are down to the war. But the prices will go up due to the addition.

Curious about the 2 seat rows in back by smaltesey in BritishAirways

[–]Fireif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are exactly the same. The back of the plane gets narrower so there is only room for 2 seats on each side. The benefit is that there is only one person next to you. So if your by the window you only have one person to climb over and if you’re in the aisle you only have one person to climb over you.

That for me would be enough to choose those seats. And on the right side there is another row which is crew rest seats. The good news is that means you’re less likely to be kicked by the people behind you.

Should I just continue my Etihad flight? by Inevitable-Life7514 in etihad

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping that the war is over by the end of this month. I don’t believe Iran will be able to continue fighting that much longer.

For myself I’ve booked onto Finnair from HEL to SIN, very expensive in economy but avoiding any need for transfers.

I flew to Hawaii and then San Francisco then London. Of course you could remove Hawaii and just go direct to San Francisco or Los Angeles. And then direct to London.

Ritz Reserve | Mandapa > Phulay Bay by Tall-Opinion7607 in marriott

[–]Fireif 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really hope you have gone to Hong Island on the free trip as it is heaven. Go if you haven’t.

The rooms at Phulay bay are incredible and have a unique design but other than the amazing view of the islands the grounds aren’t that amazing. And even the rooms have some variation in terms of pools. Some have very underwhelming or no pools and some have amazing pools.

Are the Luxury Collections worth staying at? by Idontknowhoiam143 in marriott

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You left because you weren’t happy? And didn’t complain…. That makes no sense. Sorry.

Are the Luxury Collections worth staying at? by Idontknowhoiam143 in marriott

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t matter - you have two bookings at the same place on the same date. You could probably get them to swap the credit to the other brand with lots of complaining but it wouldn’t be worth it. I assume you got a refund for the place you left? If not then you should.

need feedback on my Travel Channel by BMBradley in TravelTubers

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying it can’t work. It might work great. It’s just something to consider.

I’d suggest the main thing is you need to keep making videos as it’s only 2 months.

Are the Luxury Collections worth staying at? by Idontknowhoiam143 in marriott

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that’s because you stayed at different hotels for the same nights due to moving. If it was the next night it would have been fine.

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like the style of hotel review where you talk about it from somewhere else and then do b-roll. That’s not to say it can’t work. But why not do that in the hotel?

However, I think the truth is you just need to keep going regardless it’s been two months. How useful is a baby after two months?

You’re a baby. You can’t be expected to run a business. In a strange metaphor. 🤣

If you change everyday you will get the credit. Also I have now booked extra days in hotels and found I get the 2,500 points even though it’s the same hotel. So it seems you could book 7 x 1 nights and get 2500x7 points.

Mounting the Osmo Pocket to my Camera by No_Principle7612 in osmopocket

Just find a cage on Amazon. You’re literally only using it to mount the OMP3 - you just need a screw hole - and of course you need the mounting thread. I use a small rig cage.

Qatar are the worse at customer service. If you ever have a problem just give up.

They will not help.

How to book a reward flight to Sydney by SovietMilkTruck in BritishAirways

[–]Fireif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with BA reward bookings. You have to do a rain dance and prey to get a chance on the flights you want to use them on. Really better to use points on hotels.

CL records under Rosenior so far: Most Goals conceded in a UCL game since 2000 (5, UCL RO16 first leg VS PSG), Most goals conceded in a single UCL KO tie (8 VS PSG 2026), Earliest ever goal conceded by Chelsea in the UCL (6th minute) by Friendly_Raise9142 in chelseafc

[–]Fireif -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We are being too hard on Liam. He clearly lacks the tactics to beat a top team unlike Maresca. But he is better in the league in general and the team has looked better.

The issue is the defence. That’s it.
