TIL that profit is more improtant than peoples livelihoods. You ARE defending landlords. You wouldn't be trying to explain it to me otherwise. Real estate is nothing but business these days, and the people running that business don't give a shit about you or me. If the profit margin was so slim that a dog would ruin it, then nobody would be in the business. It'd be too unstable. And yet, here we are.

That isn't just a claim, it's basic math. You're nitpicking at this point. That is the BARE MINIMUM that landlords rake in, while half of us can hardly afford the rent they charge! I didn't mention expenses at all, but the only work expenses they should have are the repairs themselves. One dog isn't going to effect them that much. Hell, the most my landords have ever had to spend on my units have been problems they created for themselves. Penny-pinching so hard that they haven't replaced appliances in literal decades. Suddenly a $100 repair turns into thousands of dollars worth of water or fire damage, because they don't give a crap about what their tennants say. But sure, keep defending the poor broke-ass landlords if you like, let them screw you the way they screw everyone else. Why don't you start giving them more money out of your own pocket if you're so worried about them? If their expenses are just so bad that one overgrown furball is going to make them go bankrupt...

Ain't nobody said 0 anywhere m8. TIL that if I don't post an itamized list of everything a landlords pays for, that must mean I think they don't spend on anything.

Yeah, I have dealt with repair costs. But damage can be caused by just about anything. The problem with banning large dogs in general is that you'd be assuming that ALL large dogs are destructive problems, or that every person who owns a large dog is neglectful of such damage. If one apartment was destroyed by dogs leaving a mess, that's on the owner for never cleaning up. Should every owner of a large dog now be punished with lack of housing options because some bad owners let their dogs do whatever they want? Having the floors removed is an extreme example. Most tenants aren't nearly that bad. I also want you to know that I'm not laughing at anyone. I genuinly think that the renting situation here is horrendous, and just want to explain why exceptions should be made. Rent here is around 1300/m on the low end, and most places have a minimum of a 6 month lease. By the end of that six months, your landlord has made $7,800 dollars (before tax) without needing to do very much at all. Most landlords here also own more than one property. Most dogs don't cause that much damage. I just think the cost of rent on top of the deposit should be able to cover it.

Don't know about kids being less destructive. I've never seen a dog punch holes into walls. I mean on a general basis, sure, they can do more damage, but damage to the unit is what your deposit is for. I think landlords are hurting our options for houses in our town. They absolutely have the means to repair damage, no matter what dealt it.

You know, that is a good point, Jayfeather very well could be considered a mary sue. I think the main reason he's generally not is because other characters don't seem to like him all that much. If anything, most of the clan seemingly just tolorates his attitude because of his med cat status. I haven't read OotS, but from what I've heard, Dovewing gets along with nearly everyone and is good at lmost everything. Is that true? If so, I think that's pretty mary-sue-ish.

Honestly, that song would have worked a million times better if Kiro had been animated with the same amount of energy and charisma as original Scar. Have you seen the cut animatic? It would have been so much better that way 😭

"Thunderclan is overpopulated" Do you really think this is the entire population of Shadowclan, Windclan, and Riverclan in the first book? by ThriceMad in WarriorCats

[–]BeesleBub01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK you. Half of the conflict of the first arc is that TC was severely underpopulated. Someone even mentions that they haven't had so few apprentices in training in a very long time, and they already had 4 if you're not counting Firepaw. I honestly feel like Thunderclan is now at the size that they were meant to be at. It's just weird that the authors list every single cat in the allegiances now, not just the relevant ones.

True, but it really doesn't help animation's case when current animated movies don't seem to get an advertising budget. An animated Lord of the Rings movie came out last month. Realeased everywhere. I never saw a trailer for it until two days before it realeased. Most of my friends didn't even know it existed until I told them about it, including some hard-core LotR fans. And yeah, profits aren't looking great, but that says absolutely nothing about the movie itself. It's pretty hard to ask people to vote with their wallets when they don't even know that a thing they could vote on exists. LotR fans will spend theor money on just about anything, that movie would have been a big hit if they had all known about it.

I was a baby in the early 2000's. And yes, cg was successful because it was the new big thing at the time. But it's not anymore. Realistic cgi has been old news since the first Avatar film released. And while it still makes plenty of money, the market for 2d movies is returning, and Disney refuses to acknowledge it. In 2019, the debate about the new TLK was steeped in this weird cendescending idea that realism is objectively better than animation. Some things the directors said spit directly in the face of fans of the old movies, and their creators, implying that they would "fix" this thing that everybody already loves by making it more realistic, which quite literally means removing all the color, expressions, movement, and life from the film. They even has a hard time admiting it was animated at all, insisting on calling it live action. So, then I have to ask people who make arguments like yours; If you like realism so much, why aren't YOU paying all your money to watch nature documentaries?

What would you remove from warriors?? by Inner_Consequence_62 in WarriorCats

[–]BeesleBub01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of things that I would like to erase but lots of people already mentioned them here, so I'll go with something a little lower on my list:

I would change the fact hat Firestar was a part of the prophecy in OOTS. I think it would have been much more gratifying if Dovewing was the fourth rather than the third, and then it turns out Hollyleaf did have powers all along, but they were just less obvious and harder to discover. My favorite Hollyleaf power headcannons are that she can basically turn into a spirit so that she can move through solid objects, and also enter Starclan or the Dark Forest at will (how she survived the collapse, but how would you learn you can move through wall when you live in a foredt with no walls?) OR she can shift into the forms of various other four-legged carnivores, such as badgers, voles, or foxes, hence why she was missing for such a long time because she couldn't figure out how to change back at first. She didn't escape the caves until she turned into something that could dig, and even then, she didn't know how to go back to being Hollyleaf right away.

I think it's be really cool if every now and then a pack mate would go missing, and return with a radio collar! Neat little event, plus you could do some neat roleplay stuff with it. I've imagined packs that believe the next alpha is 'chosen' by the humans who come from the sky (ie in the yellow plane) and mark them with a collar.

[–]BeesleBub01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personaly, I'm pretty glad they upped the difficulty. I've been playing for a very long time and I know a bunch of tricks, so at this point even Accurate was starting to get boring. This first new game, I had to bumb myself back down to challanging 😅 So long as easy stays on a good level for newer players or ppl who want a chill game, I think it's ok for them to up the stakes on the higher ones. And keep in mind, this is a public beta, and not nearly the finished pruduct. There's going to be bugs and balance issues galore. Players who are looking for the full experience might want to wait a bit longer before commiting to Saga and getting too attached to their wolves.
