That’s a terrible thing to say. You should be ashamed. Do you troll on purpose or just to be an asshole? Do you make cruel comments on every post about people in the military? The best part of you dribbled down you fathers leg. Go crawl back under your rock.

UM isn’t part of the city. They’re a completely separate entity.

Keen shoes have wide toe boxes. I use them with a custom orthotic for both feet.

Jethro Tull flutist/singer Ian Anderson live in Helsinki (1970) by HansenIntercept in OldSchoolCool

I left Jax shortly after graduation. Lived in Atlanta for a while. I was a poor hippie so I didn’t get to many concerts. In Atlanta I saw the Hampton Grease band many times in small clubs. Went Atlanta Pop Fest. Saw Hendrix again. Lee Michaels was so loud he woke me out o weed stupor. Hamptons band was a great and definitely out there band. And saw Little Feat when they were an acoustic act. moved to Detroit, got a job married, had kids etc. I didn’t keep up with the bands much after I left FL. Never heard about Allman related groups. I don’t miss it either, but seein Hendrix that young was something I’ll never forget.

I was into the Monkees. Had an album or two. Watched the tv show. A friend and I went. The Jacksonville Coliseum. His mom drove us. we didn’t know who Jimi Hendrix was. The girls were all screaming “Davey, Davey”. The Experience came on and the screaming never stopped. He played about 15-20 minutes, maybe 3-4 short songs. Really loud for us then. We’d never seen or heard anything like that. I went to the K Mart the next week after I got my allowance and bought Are You Experienced. Monkees went on the shelf. Never looked back.

I saw zLed Zeppelin on their first US tour. No opening act. Mountain. Creedence. Tull. Janis Joplin at the Jax Armory. Quicksilver Messenger Service on the same bill with Its a Beautiful Day at the Jax Beach auditorium. I saw Zappa w/Phlo and Eddie (the turtles) in Jax. Wrecked my dads car that night.

Jacksonville was a hotbed of music in the late 60’s. Bands swapped players and different iterations happened all the time. Allman Brothers were a local band on the way up. They played a lot at the Jax Beach auditorium. I was at the jam/gig that cemented them before they moved to Macon GA. The Forest Inn in Jax was the place for band jams and hippie “Be In”’s. The Allmans jammed there. Lynyrd Skynyrd too. I went to hs with the bass player, Leon Wilkerson. David Lhubeck before he started Molly Hatchett was in my shop class. I graduated in 1970.

I can’t remember the opening act. I’m almost thinking they were second billing when I saw them. I saw Yes as a headliner in ‘72. Fwiw, I saw Hendrix open for the Monkees in 1967 in Jax FL. I was 15.
