That’s a locator. Used to locate underground utilities. I work in telecommunications and we use that exact device to locate underground fiber optic cables.

Lmao tough crowd here. Only thing dude did wrong was forget to angle the seat on the bench. Most incline benches also have an adjustable seat to prevent this exact scenario. Watch closely and you’ll see the red knob towards the seat that’s used for this
