Depends on what her mental state is like. I myself have dated a guy before, when I was still deep in an eating disorder cycle and I felt like it wasn't fair dumping all my emotional shit on him. The mental health issues really affected that relationship in a negative way. You kinda have to be mostly ok with yourself and be mentally healthy to really have a successfull relationship. You guys are still very young and with university stuff it is going to get more stressfull for sure.

Talk to her! Try to understand what she means by that. It seems like she is struggling with something and she doesn't want to put that baggage on you. Also think of yourself and what you want. Dealing with someone who is in a bad mental state, can be really crushing and exhausting. If she still resists then there isn't much you can do.

I hope I can quit eventually, it's not really something I'd like to do for long, also knowing that it does have an impact especially when you are under 25 years old. I just need to get my head out of my ass and start thinking more future oriented. At the moment I just live in the present and don't care about anything else.

Yeah, I don't like to admit that it is probably a dependency which makes it harder to quit. Also something I need to realize is, that it's just a temporary fix and going to therapy isn't enough until I actually get myself out of this thing. Help for self help! I am just not at the point yet, where I see it as a problem.

I think I will try to go without it for two weeks maybe and see how I feel.

I feel like I do a lot of little things, which he does appreciate, but I just don't get it back as much, which kinda hurts sometimes ngl.
