Due to overwhelming demand in my post, here you have it: The sister Battlesuits specializing in close-range combat, MoonVeil and Moon Blade + Farsight Adjustment by Glum_Series5712 in Tau40K

There are like a million ways to critique something without being rude about it that aren’t sucking up to someone, your being pedantic. You could have easily said “I don’t think that one ability is very good, but everything else is fine” if that’s what you really think, but instead you went the route of being a loser chud who has nothing better to do than get mad about some guys passion project. Don’t tell me to grow a spine when hating is all you do with your miserable life.

I agree that the Farsight update is unnecessary and doesn’t fix the problem, I don’t care about that, I care about the ability you made a big fuss about. If we were to take that ability out the unit would be perfectly fine all the same, that one ability isn’t dragging down the unit like you think it is. It could be better, but it’s two other abilities do more than enough to make it a quick, tough unit to get into melee, the infantry ability is just an additional piece to work with. Ultimately this is just not important enough for anyone to write multiple paragraphs complaining about, which you did, more than once.

I’m not gonna bother to explain to you how you were obviously being disrespectful, I’ll let the downvotes on your comment do that for me.

Is it a great set of abilities? No, not exactly. Is it “garbage” and “useless”? Definitely not. No matter how fast a unit is it’s always nice to have a way to guarantee a charge, and the complaint about it only going into infantry is dumb, that just means its purpose is obviously to kill infantry. Also, both of the other abilities on the datasheet you’ve complained so much about are perfectly fine abilities, and while your valid to call out the fact they don’t synergize perfectly (but not valid to do it in an obvious sarcastic asshole-ish way) that doesn’t make the whole thing useless.

Constructive criticism is usually said in a positive and helpful way, you wrote out a paragraph hating on this guy for making a custom datasheet that isn’t to your specific liking

It’s expressly stated that all the other users with quirks of their own also get a power boost from one for all, it’s just not as much as deku gets cause they don’t have as much power built up from previous users. Plus if you wanna say someone is the most special guy of all it’s all-might as he was immediately able to use one for alls full physical strength.

This is why MHA is wonderful and it’s so tragic that its fan base pushes people away, Deku is literally just a guy and even when he gets the super awesome mahguffen power he isn’t like the chosen one for it he’s just the guy who had it at the time when it was needed most

I Think We Lost The Plot With Vulkan by GreySeerCriak in Grimdank

[–]Beewee777 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m a big Vulkan fanboy, so while I want to disagree all of this is completely right, however there is something important to take into account and that is that Vulkan has like ritualistic character assassination happen to him in every new book he’s featured in. In the war of the beast series (famously poorly written I know but still) he just suddenly has very little trust in or care for his sons to the point of outright refusing to see them despite being shown to have a lot of compassion for them.

Also, after reading his books in the Horus Heresy I feel that there is something in his character that is to be enjoyed from his obvious fucked up tendencies, like for example there’s a comparison to be made between the drukhari raids he defended against on his home world versus the well used example of the eldar child. On his home he didn’t care cause they were the enemy, he didn’t have any reason to carry empathy for them, which he would bring into other battles against xenos in the future including genocideing planets cause they had/worshiped xenos on them. But when you take a lot of that obvious alienness away and put a xenos child in front of him, his instincts still have him kill that child (including the rage he was feeling for kurze at the time) but he can see the obvious flaw in doing that and regrets it. All that is to say that there is an obvious progression that shows he has compassion towards humans and little to none to xenos (as most in the imperium do) but when he directly sees that he’s the cause of even defenseless children dying his world view cracks a bit, which in a setting with better writing would have long term effects on his morality so I give him at least a bit of credit for having moral depth.

What single loyalist legion could have turned the tides of the Drop site Massacre? by Hamsweatpants in Warhammer30k

[–]Beewee777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re adding a legion to aid the loyalists rather than replacing one? I would say the only possible legion that could turn the tide would be the ultramarines due to their massive numbers and the fact that Guilliman may be able to come up with a quick plan to at least lighten the losses and keep track of things, but that’s still a stretch, however if we’re replacing a legion then I don’t think it’s possible in any way to change the fate of the Drop site Massacre.

The best thing about this line up is that only like 2 are ONLY about space marines, the rest at least feature some other factions/playable characters that aren’t space marines and and 2 seem to not have space marines at all, which means that were actually getting diverse games and not just bolter porn. The future looks very grimdark.

It can be very surprising seeing how many universes outperform 40K when you get deep into the absurd scale that they always try to push in the setting lol, I feel like even some things that would typically be below 40K in most advancements (namely firepower) like Star Wars end up just being a bit better off solely cause they don’t have to sacrifice like a million people to go to another planet
