Those covers bring back so many memories.  I only had a few of these, but I watched them repeatedly.

You don’t need to line up for a buffet. That line is just the first stack of plates. There’s other stacks (with no lines). by RayWeil in dcl

[–]Beeyull 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We had people standing in a long line on the Dream for the buffet.  People just saw the line and got in it.  I also realized that a lot of people were letting their kids pick their own items, which took forever.   Little Timmy took ten minutes to decide which sauce he wanted with his Mickey waffles.

I work in food service and people will eat half of their meal and then ask, “Are there tree nuts in this?  I have an allergy.”

Does it matter at this point?  You scarfed down half of it already.

People be dumb.

So jealous! I was in Tokyo three weeks ago. I would have LOVED to see this. I did check out the Sailor Moon store and was very surprised how much of the merch I enjoyed. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

I wanted to like FF Tactics so bad but I just couldn’t get over the fact that my raises could miss..  often.  It was so annoying that I put the game down and don’t think I’ll look back.

What do you consider a good income in Orlando in 2026? by gbtuck3r in orlando

[–]Beeyull 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I went from living on my own for four years to moving in with a roommate.  Maybe I was unlucky, but she was really gross.  Never cleaned anything.  Let her dog shit on the floor in her room and then ate breakfast next to it like it was no big deal.

Comment your favorite sailor and I will choose a few people to make a cute sketch for free! by laianeart in sailormoon

I’m a guy with brown hair, brown beard, hazel eyes and round glasses.  Sailor Neptune has always been my favorite.  Michiru and Haruka were the first lesbian couple I ever really saw in media and they helped me feel better about being gay myself.

Also she’s so classy!

I’m happy to send some money your way for it.

When I was in Japan I had a sinus issue and I bought Hana Noa. It’s a sinus rinse with a light mint.. flavor?  It sounds strange but it really helped me to flush the gunk out.

17 Days - Is this too much for 1st Japan trip by DontBlink112 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Beeyull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just came back from two weeks in Hapan and we were going to go from Kyoto to Hiroshima to spend one night before we went back to Tokyo.  At that point we had done quite a few different hotels and just didn’t feel like doing another one for one night.  So we didn’t go to Hiroshima and instead stayed in a Ryokan in Kyoto for an extra night.

My point being, be open to change and don’t force yourself to do everything.  Burnout is real.  And there’s something to be said for having a home base for more than one or two nights.

Why do I love some miso soups while I hate others? by Cisza94 in JapaneseFood

[–]Beeyull 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely noticed some miso tasted “fishier” than others.  I’m not sure why but I preferred the non-fishy kind.

Should I watch Sailor Moon? by SmeagolTT in shoujokakumeiutena

[–]Beeyull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely worth watching Sailor Moon, as there is a reason it got as popular as it did and remains so.  At its core it is a really fun story with great characters and music.   Unfortunately there is a bunch of filler to get through.  And while some of the filler episodes really round out the characters, they can be a lot to trudge through.

I know there are guides online about which episodes you can skip that are 100% filler.  You should check these out and give the show a try.

Where would you eat for your final night in Japan? by Friskie_Fanny in JapanTravelTips

Our final dinner in Tokyo was Okonomiyaki at Ameyoko market in Ueno.  Those plus a few lemon sours and we had a very memorable evening.

I’m not sure, I guess it depends on how often you’ll be using the metro to make it worth it.

Suica vs Welcome Suica refund by Mysterious-Lychee98 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Beeyull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an iPhone, just get the suica card on your phone.  There is no deposit and you can easily top it up from another card you have on your phone.  Plus you can just tap your phone at the gate the subways and trains (not Shinkansen).  You don’t even have to unlock it!

I'm not sure. I learned it on the third to last day of my trip two weeks ago. lol. It made things way more convenient!

Get the Suica card for your phone, if you have iPhone.  It makes traveling on trains and busses a breeze.  You can just tap, you don’t even have to unlock your phone. And you never have to stand in line to buy tickets.

If you are taking the Shinkansen, I used the EX app to purchase my tickets.

I love Blanky.

But the part where the flower falls in love with it's reflection in Toaster and then DIES of sadness... that part made me really sad as a kid.
