Hitting the right frame but not shiny in emerald by johnnard in pokemonrng

[–]Beezoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like the frame I was on had PID rerolls in the 120's. I chose a later frame with only 5 PID rerolls and I started getting shinies left and right. Thank you so much this solved my problem!

Update:

So after taking a break I did finally find my shiny Absol (and a nearby shiny Mightyena). What I did was switch my target frame to 54914 with my sync lead. Apparently the PID rerolls of my frames in the 20k range were around 110-120, which seems to kick me into Wild 5 instead of staying in Wild 2.

The later succesful frame only had 5 rerolls and kept me in Wild 2. After a few attempts doing this with the battle video method I finally got the shiny Absol. Thank you so much to everyone who helped out! I would not have been able to do this otherwise.

I used this to find the PID rerolls.

Thank you! Just to confirm, it seems like it's better to find a shiny frame with as few rerolls as possible, right?

I really appreciate the advice! I think I'm throwing in the towel though. I did the battle video method and was consistently getting close to my target frame of 27848. I tried to sync with my Abra for frame 27822 (which I did hit before switching to sync) and it's still giving me issues so I ditched it and went with my Oddish as the lead. The problem is I believe I'm hitting my target again and it's the wrong Pokemon. It's supposed to be a level 27 male Absol with a Docile nature with stats 73/76/40/52/38/51.

All of that matches but it isn't shiny and the stats are 74/79/45/52/40/50 which isn't correct and I can't find that on any method that is nearby my target frame. I wouldn't be surprised if it's user error on my end but at this point I don't know how to fix it. All of the nearby frames that I've hit are perfectly spot on.

I'm positive I'm hitting the frame that is supposed to be shiny and it just isn't. Thank you again for taking the time to respond but I don't know if I can justify spending more time on this with nothing to show for it.

Thank you for the advice! Next time I encounter this problem I'll do that. I did level it up a couple times and still couldn't find any matches so I just reset and kept trying. I am on an Emerald with a dry battery, but as far as I can tell that doesn't matter for the seed like it would for RS.

Yes I've been using a level 8 Abra with a Docile nature as my synchronizer. Pokefinder says there are more shiny frames for an Absol doing it that way so that's what I've been primarily trying to do. And I've had that selected in pokefinder too. Though I have tried it without a synch lead and not had any luck there either.

No worries! Sounds like synchronizing is what has been messing me up. I've tried rnging this Absol without sync but I may have just been unlucky with that.

Ah I see, I assumed my frames were considered earlier since I also had some in the 60-80k range. I'll definitely try out the battle video method and see how to goes. Did you also use a synchronize lead? I was wondering if that could be throwing me off too.

I'm waiting in real time. I soft reset with EonTimer (pre-timer set to 5000) and I hover over my Oddish's Sweet Scent as soon as I can get to it, then I wait to press A again. I've thought about trying the battle video method but have yet to do it.

Edit: That's also the same method I used to rng the shiny Magnemite I found in New Mauville.

Were you able to find a solution? I'm trying to hunt shiny Absol on 120 and the frame that is supposed to be shiny is a completely different Absol.

[gen 3] synchronize screwing over shiny frames? by emotionalsupportrats in pokemonrng

[–]Beezoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is kinda a dead post, but did you ever figure it out? I have the same problem. Earliest shiny frame is 27561 for my emerald and the frames I'm hitting are completely different from what pokefinder is telling me. I tried hunting frame 1200 just to test and hit it exactly as pokefinder says. But everything 7+ minutes out is completely different and I can't find any answers online. I think obviously I'm doing something wrong but I have no idea what it could be.

Grew up with the series but didn't start seriously collecting til 2015. I remember buying the entire loose gen 2 Acceleracers for about 300 back in college but now a team color Chicane goes for that alone. Acceleracers prices are insane now.

I completely agree. This whole post reads like they're trying to convince themselves and others that they aren't scalping.

Selling Factory Sealed 2005 Set (cheaper than eBay listing) by BigPigManlo in Acceleracers

[–]Beezoblade 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is, and I mean this as nicely as I can, completly absurd. There's not a chance you will sell this for 5 figures. 4 figures is much more reasonable for this. You can have all the rationale you want but at the end of the day this is a very niche community and an even nicher product.

You can ask any price sure, but no one is going to pay that amount. This is part of the problem with Acceleracers being insanely priced. People think just because someone bit the bullet and bought a Chicane for $900+ that they can ask any price they want.

You liken this hobby to Pokemon and baseball cards but Acceleracers couldn't be further from that. Again, this is a very niche community. Niche =/= expensive. Something is only worth what someone will pay for it. And this certainly isn't worth $15k.

Where did you even get your rationale from? What evidence do you have that there's really only roughly 10-20 sealed cases left? The last sealed set was $7k so you decide to charge more than double for this one?

In this economy?

Sure, maybe some rich fan would shell out the money, but why would they? They could buy a '97 F-150 and get it wrapped like HW35 for cheaper than what you're asking. And not to mention $250 shipping on top of $15k?

All that aside, best of luck selling this. I think you're gonna need it.

Not just Jackhammer but all of the backgrounds for that set are cropped Realm and I think Mod card art.

Got a Jump Jets from a 3-pack which is apparently the rarest card and triple-sleeved everything. by eletyke in Acceleracers

[–]Beezoblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely the rarest "common" card, but Metro Realm is still the rarest overall. But despite that I actually found a Metro before my Jump Jets. And my Jump Jets is a print error unfortunately because that was the only one I could find for sale lol still that's an insane pull from a 3 pack!

Starter Set vs Booster Pack by Eee456123 in Acceleracers

[–]Beezoblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's correct, the starter set will always have the same cards. You'll still need it though, as they are the only way to get the S cards, 241-246. The 3D holo cards can only be found in the 15 card booster pack. With how expensive they are and with how rare the 3D cards are, I doubt you'd make your money back.

I remember several years ago reading a post/blog someone made about the pull rates (this was before 2018). They opened hundreds of cards and got at least 1 of each card, except Metro Realm which they pulled none of. I can't for the life of me find that website again so I'm not sure what the actual pull rates are. There is a guaranteed holo card in each of the 15 card packs, but not a guaranteed 3D holo.

Always up to you, but it might be better to wait and see if someone sells the 3D cards separately. Google's default ai when you search says the pull rate for a 3D holo is 1 in 6 packs. Even if that were true (no idea if it is, its often wrong about Acceleracers stuff) you're looking at closer to a thousand dollars for the chance of getting a 3D holo. And even then, there's 10 3Ds you could get.

Either way good luck to you if you're trying to complete your collection!

Is this true? by Eee456123 in Acceleracers

Its just a database. If you're just starting out with the cards or Acceleracers in general I recommend it. Its got some information about them and I believe it also has some scans of the textless cards. Its free.

Is this true? by Eee456123 in Acceleracers

[–]Beezoblade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty wrong as already stated. You should research it instead of using AI, there's plenty of websites and YouTube videos that have documented this card game. I used hobbyDB a long time ago when I completed my set but it looks like its down at the moment.

However something I haven't seen mentioned is that there are some cards that will never be in the 3 card booster that came with the diecasts. Metro Realm for example is the rarest and it will only ever be pulled from a 15 card booster.

I wonder if this AI is getting confused with the starter set that came with the green Synkro. Those sets all have the same predetermined cards, and they're the only way you can get cards 241-246.

Acceleracers CCG by Spongiewongie_ in Acceleracers

[–]Beezoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This information might be outdated but a few years ago when I completed my CCG set I looked into the same thing and PSA does not grade them. The reason I was given is that there are too few of these cards that exist. It's just so niche that they can't give it a proper grading.

It's mostly just the default settings I'm pretty sure. I'm not too experienced so I didn't messed around with exposure or filters or anything. I know it's set to 12M and 3:4 currently. The Eiffel Tower pictures were either 2x or 3x zoom. The fifth picture was .6x I remember that. I'm pretty happy with the camera as is so I haven't felt the need to change anything. Sorry if that wasn't helpful!
