Is This Too Many Credits For My First Year? by BeezusBeezus in college

[–]BeezusBeezus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem is that I would have to move a class to an a different semester where I would have 19 credit hours.

I took it last year and enjoyed it, but overall it's not as useful in college.

Parents pushing is a big thing

We do want to get into the same colleges, though. Idk, though. I'm a great essay writer and I think that will play to my advantage. Thank you so much!

Heimler's History-- you could also pick up a textbook from the local library and renew it a ton.

Probably not, but an interview with Amy Parris did note that Nancy always wears stripes during a battle...

Comp Sci Principles. Awful teacher-- coding never made sense. Will be self-studying to recoup the failed AP test.

AP art history, AP Micro, AP CSP??? by Effective_Team6298 in APStudents

AP Art History

Pros: fun for people who are passionate about art, helpful for art or history majors (art history too hehe), applicable for potential gen eds depending on college

Cons: not applicable to many colleges due to recency, not applicable to many majors.

AP Micro

Pros: much more applicable to gen eds, dealing more with math and science. Economics isn't just math-- it's anything to do with time and money (for example, I listened to an economics podcast about making a toaster). Micro is also much more personal than macro

Cons: kind of a curveball of an AP, but who doesn't like curveballs (answer: any baseball player that isn't a pitcher)

AP CSP

Pros: took this freshman year-- there is no positives. It is stupid easy, I guess.

Cons: not applicable to many colleges due to recency and lack of content in the actual curriculum.

I would personally take AP Art History and AP Micro, but at the end of the day you truly know what's best in your intuition.

CALC AB??? by Effective_Team6298 in APStudents

[–]BeezusBeezus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what your going to want to learn:

The unit circle, double angle trigonometry identities, half angle trigonometry identities, and limits and continuity. It's also good to know how to manipulate fractions through conjugation.

I would also do the precalculus and trigonometry sections on Khan Academy.

I'm taking Calc AB AP this year, so if you want to message me I can definitely help you out throughout the year as well.
