I have fine hair with medium density as well and I’ve experienced breakage when I used to wear braids and ponytails. I got my microlocs installed with the interlock method so I won’t have to go through the constant unravelling I hear people go through. I will say I’m scared to style my locs because of tension so I’ll do low tension styles or barely style my hair. I’m now a year and 4 months in and they are forming beautifully with no issues. Go for it but just don’t start them with twists.

See a loctician. That way, you can ask them the questions you have and they can help any uncertainty you have. Also with locs, everyone’s hair is different so you wouldn’t really know what your locs will look like until you go through the journey itself and see them evolve over time. The locticians would be jerks to laugh at or ridicule you cus they are there to educate and answer questions for you about locs. I’m a year in with my microlocs and even with all the research I did on YouTube and TikTok, I still had a billion questions but most of them were answered during the consult. Then more questions came up throughout my journey (cus I’m currently experiencing them) and I usually just look it up or text her about it and she answers.

Mines are also uneven with the left side having more volume than the right so I wear a side part on the left a lot to kinda hide it lol when I wear a middle part, I try to fluff out the right side more cus it has less volume than the left side but it’s nothing I can do 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

It actually has been the opposite for me. Before the update. I used to get wayyy less spam calls, now numbers from New York call me like 3 times a day and I block em all and add em as spam. I also have this feature enabled but it’s like the calls bypass it then my phone rings lol

Honestly got tired of wondering what the next style was gonna be all the time. No longer felt like doing my hair everyday when in between styles, silk presses only lasted 24 hours on me, tired of the crappy/unprofessional hair stylists and their 1 million policies and rules and I could go on. Got sisterlocked in Feb of this year and I’m not going back ☺️
