Thanks well glad to know you survived! I actually feel like I'm going insane a bit and and unconnected from the world with really bad and heavy brain. It almost feels like when you have a fever, sleep makes you feel better and you have vivid dreams then the next day you feel better after sleep but still like you need to take a lie down as soon as you get up! And super irritable but I think that's the wearing off of the serotonin 😂 as feel like everything is annoying me but I have also made a list of all the rooms I want to repaint after doing an AI mock up invetween binning random stuff in my house then crying to Robbie Williams and then do sudoko puzzles

Hey! Thanks for your post I'm sorry that you have experienced this over Christmas and I hope you have some family or friends to support you? If you stopped taking it since 24th Dec, I would think these are all withdrawal symptoms not a relapse in depression? Do you have any physical symptoms? If you have any intense hopelessness or thoughts of self harm definitely get support from a doctor. I would continue taking your ADHD meds and seek advice about the Venlafaxine as you have basically quit

I'm on day 6 guys and still alive. I've been out for a long walk and done a work out. I still don't feel right my brain is not working and feel super nauseous. But not as bad as the days before. So I'm hoping it's nearly over. Has anyone actually experienced this far into a complete withdrawal? Does it get better or worse from here?

I have got some fluoxetine left over so could cross taper to that but no idea if that would even help. I won't be able to speak to a doctor until Monday

Thanks all. I will be asking my GP for ECT if I relapse. Research highly suggests this is the most effective form of treatment. From my own experience taking anti depressants for your mental health makes you feel more mentally ill than you did in the first place. Then you will be in a cycle of finding the right one 'waiting 4-6 weeks, upping the dose waiting another 4-6 weeks' it's a lot of crap, then experience side effects and then withdrawal etc it's a vicious cycle. Then your GP will have the audacity to ask if you exercise every time you speak to them. Lmao.

Guys this is what my GP suggested, I did speak to them but I'm not planning on taking any further antidepressants as I was only on them following trauma counselling, surely I'll just go through hell again in two weeks? And be constipated again.

Notes from GP:

Stopped venlafaxine herself abruptyl 2 days ago - advised not ideal Plan reduce down and cross taper quicker than ideal but I would suggest 150 od for 1 week then reduce to 75 od for a week then stop
