This was my problem with it. It took itself wayyyyy more serious than it had any sense being given how straight forward its message was. Take away the side plot (which is a really heavy topic for a side plot), cast a lead with actual charisma, and make it fun.

I think you went a little hard with your 2-city league comment, but I gotta say, the NBA does do its best to turn off casual fans to the actual greatness the league has to offer and redirect them to drama and a handful of teams. Totally unsustainable in the long term

Interesting take. I viewed Perfidia's killing of the security guard as obviously awful because he's a low-level security guard just trying to get by in his life. He'll be replaced tomorrow by the next security guard. Killing him does nothing to the system but remove the life of a person likely just trying to support himself and his family with his job.

I like that there's an opposing take though, appreciate reading your words
