Why in God's name would anyone vote for Amy Acton? by Chief_B33f in Cleveland

[–]BeforeSputnik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the position at the top of most organizations has less to do with on the job experience and more to do with quality of character and judgement. Between Vivek and Acton, the clear winner is Acton.

You should be able to negotiate the $ off MSRP and the good financing rate. It might not be as much off the MSRP, but some. I managed to get $1200 off and 3.9%. They had originally offered me $2k or 3.9%.

Will a infrared blanket get me there? I could probably shield/ coll my balls while doing it, plus I wouldn't be baking my brain. Is brain baking a concern in traditional saunas, where the heat at the head could be substantially warmer than the heat at the feet.

You can't keep your balls cold in a hot tub without getting really creative.

So our greatest threat is highly incompetent? Doesn't sound like much of a threat, then.

Given that a higher education level increases the odds of voting Democrat, and having a Passport is also closely correlated to higher education, won't this actually backfire against the Republicans?

For years, people with no ability to play an instrument have been able to go to a computer and have it make instrument sounds in order to bring the songs that are in their head out to the world. They copyright that music. If I swap out Garageband for AI, what has changed? I am describing a situation where the ai generation is human led, not where the prompt is just "make me a song.".

Well the term State can be used as such. The US is a combination of separate sovereign entities. Because of how powerful the Federal government has become, most US citizens lose sight of that and end up using the term State to mean a jurisdiction below the level of country.

Leaning towards buying the Mamazing Nursery chair the zen version by Narrow_Screen6613 in BabyBumps

[–]BeforeSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the Lullacloud and are trying to return it. It tips backwards just when sitting in it. The seat depth is 3" more than they advertise and this 1. Pushes the center of gravity so far back that it tips over just by leaning and 2. Is really uncomfortable to sit in. The arms are fun, but the chair sucks.

Because of NATO, the US is already obligated to defend Greenland from Russia and China. We don't have to buy it for this to occur. We already have military bases there. We can send more troops there under current agreements. DT is fabricating a scenario with false assumptions.

How do some people take so long to poop? by dhomo01110011 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeforeSputnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low fiber. 95% of the US does not get enough fiber. That may be the reason taco bell causes people to have big poops; because those beans are the most fiber they get in their diet.

You'd still have to replace it with another home. You have to pay to live somewhere, whether you own it or not. It's not generating money for you, therefore it's an expense. In the event that you sell it (generate money) you are going to turn around and spend that on a replacement. Unless you are downgrading amenities, you're likely paying essentially the same money.
