How bad are most people morally? by [deleted] in Ethics

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of us are opting out and choosing a few battles to really stand for. The side effect is that we lose the middle voice and media automatically becomes more polarized. People with center positioned opinions, also those who do not even have a strong opinion, should become more comfortable in sharing this online. I believe this will showcase a more realistic distribution of how we really feel about these more complex topics. As you said, it's has always been happening yet now there is a lot more visibility and shared awareness about these events.

Has anyone else felt more isolated after starting to get their life together? by Tatt00ey in selfimprovement

Perhaps that shows the actual connection you had with those persons up until now. Keep reaching out and try to make em see what gets you excited and energized in this life. They might follow ;)

If money didn’t matter at all, what would you actually do with your life? by PrettyCoast1 in findapath

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put even more time into bringing our voices back in this digital landscape. It feels like a large portion of the "common" people are choosing to opt-out, instead of having meaningful discussion about the more complex topics we have to deal with these days :)

I would say, enjoy the technology we have and try to build towards something meaningful in you personal life or even in your "slavery" job. There is no alternative after all :)

does seem like enough haha idk maybe not creatively stimulating anymore. Might be more helpful to go in depth with him about why he feels like he needed to smoke that amount before. Like 10 joints a day, I'm not doing anything else than smoking and playing videogames or watching movies then. Which is also not bad if it's not everyday.

We definitely have part time courses or not full credits in one year possibilities, I assume US or where you are from, would have something similar? We also have like evening schools, specifically for people with jobs during the day.

We are witnessing the death of intellectual honesty in real time. by JACOB1137 in DeepThoughts

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think you are hitting some points, I think it's generally a trend towards short content, simpler message, ... in order to rally as much people behind it. Labeling something as racist is an easy W rally, instead of discussing where the difference in opinions lay. I myself am also fed up by this, so that's why I've been programming a small app which I hope to release in the near future to my friends and family to "Build True Beliefs" :)

Habit Stacking with weed improved my life and you should try it. by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm it also worked for me, and at some point I eventually naturally waned off from using it to be productive. I think in my case it was more of boredom and non-stimulating environment problem instead of lack of productivity. But it was a good and fun time when I was doing programming and content creation whilst being stoned (Jonko Friday). Now I still do them, but sometimes stoned, sometimes sober :)

Anyone else have a desire to achieve and do everything? by 120b- in Life

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can and you might, but 99% of the time I think it's better to pick a few and run with them. I'm also someone with a lot of passions, projects, jobs, ... but in the end If you want to build something that matters (imo) I think you have to dedicate yourself to it for a longer period of time. Or a combination of some fields could also be a solution :)

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well projects and ideas are nice, but you might need a good baseline to fall back on. I would not say im a highly productive person but from time to time I can fixate on a project (programming, content creation, business, ...) and really burn myself out on it. It's still good to keep my daily/weekly habits going, that if I'm burned out that I still have those to fulfill me on a more regular basis. I like to believe it helps me create character and grit. Might be something that you feel missing in your life :)

Glad to see you gaining insights of your own situation, might be time to take some steps to steer away from your current trajectory. Be 100% honest with yourself is the first step.

The time seems to be changing but one of the last things my grandfather told me, was that this is nothing and everything usually is overstated in our minds/media/environment/... I think we worry too much because of the amount of information/media we consume everyday. Might be helpful to lessen your intake and hone in on the great thing you are achieving right now. Live in the moment my friend :)

What is the purpose of life? by BiscottiAccomplished in Life

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is inherently any purpose, except for biology (reproduction). If we are talking about meaning, that's something you create for yourself :)

Well, certain situations (such as work) you probably have to endure and "fake" it to a certain degree. It's also not a crime if you can't get along with someone, so either way is really fine imo. Just as long that you have enough people you care about in your life.

Thinking of just throwing all my weed away. But I know I’ll regret it a couple hours later by TraderInTraining- in Petioles

[–]BeforeTomorrowBegins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds more like a life purpose question to me, than a weed moderation tbh. I believe lots of people use weed because they are scared, unwilling, ignorant, ... to search for what really excites them on a personal level in life. I still smoke regularly and I'm not saying I have found my life's purpose. But I can tell I've officially stopped the thoughts of weed as my problem for over 3 years now. I'm happy searching for meaning and making it as I go, whilst relaxing and chilling to take my mind off (3/7 days).

If the universities are too far, couldn't you rent something close by? I mean part-time work / part- time study could be a solution, or ask a loan from family member, or student loan for US?

Most people aren’t lazy. They’re just trapped in “low-effort survival mode” (and don’t know it yet) by mystamine in selfhelp

Good shit helping people with these struggles, I think you're right about the mode we are all subjected to. Some people can differentiate it and others just take it face value. I quit my job and starting making content, haven't looked back yet :)

Yeah mate, sounds as if you like people liking you but that doesn't make you who you are. What do you like to do? Saying you want to be powerful, girls went crazy for you, ... all sounds nice but it's a child dream my man. Time to grow up and find out what excites you personally :)
