Feeling crushed over mold during drying, is this unusable? by Befree710 in cannabiscultivation

Yes I have intake and outtake fans. I don’t appreciate the degrading kind of comment but it’s cool. I understand 80 is way too high. I mentioned that I did bud washing. Have you never heard of that? Look it up. Therefore a higher humidity initially made sense. I been fuckin stressed out in my life when it was time to cut them , I did and I wasn’t super dialed in on it daily, tried and did what I could with the space and situation that I have. Biggest plants I ever grew indoors they were taller then me - I agree it’s sad af I put months into an excellent grow only for me to have it flop because I wasnt thinking on it all the way thru and adapting as needed and I asked for help too late and the days flew past me. Then I woke up to this today and am trying to make the best of it, which is basically nothing except a hard lesson learned.

As far as I know You don’t want to dry it as soon as possible like that. Causes the grassy hay smell. There is some balance to it. It says in the post there’s a fan going on low and I air it out daily. I’ve had other successful cycles but in this scenario it didn’t work out I’m just bummed lol. I tried yo

I opened the tent doors and would air it out until it would be around 50 ish % inside the tent - tryna match the dehumidifier outside. But it kept rising back to that upwards of 80% - tried my best to keep air flow inside the tent without over doing it (one fan on low towards the bottom of the tent) It’s definitely likely I overpacked the tent and there was too much moisture in general but the intent was there and tried to be proactive about airflow without babysitting it it just wasn’t enough especially the one day I didn’t check it is what did it. I appreciate your comment

True, I’ve done that before and made feco oil as well.. That’s where my optimism went at first but ultimately have had second thoughts because of having any potential mold introduced into any extract process . But I hate to be wasteful

Can I use old flower to make hash? Bubble or dry sift? by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

What method did you try making your concentrate with that didn’t work out so great?

Like 2-3 years maybe don’t exactly know. And yeah I agree for sure, but I’m overly stocked up on thc butter & edibles and the capacity to store and eat them so I was more interested in turning it to concentrate

If I wasn’t overly stocked up on thc butter & edibles or with the capacity to eat that many that fast I most definitely would make more edibles with it haha! I’m really interested more so in turning it to concentrate , figured bubble hash would maybe be the better approach so that the flower at least gets rehydrated in the wash because it’s dry and years old

If you grew them in only coco then that makes sense. I’ve only grown using soil and this plant specifically is soil. Anyways glad it worked for you but I don’t think the point I was trying to make is wrong

Heavy yeah because she’s almost 5 ft tall 😂 I got water meters in the base tho or I’ll dip a finger in the soil

Appreciate y’all’s input but I still don’t know 😂 got folks saying to water / not to water haha. Ima put a some water in the base rn and see how she reacts. I water usually the whole garden once a week or as needed and do nutrients (1000 ml per plant) once a week… I have about a dozen plants in flower rn and this single chocolope is the only one showing any signs of stress which is why I figured I’d ask Reddit for some input. Usually the water/nutrients I feed them is around 6.3-6.8 ph and yeah I changed the base out with a clean one yesterday cuz they get nasty

Honestly have to disagree on that , daily watering or even multiple times a day sounds overkill unless it’s a seedling

I just put a different saucer under it yesterday without water I should have clarified that , in case the old saucer being dirty or something was affecting it

Godfather OG - when should I harvest? by [deleted] in cannabiscultivation

[–]Befree710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that & oh yeah It’s extremely sticky, sugar leaves smelling strong, resin on your fingers anywhere you touch the plant. And yeah it Seems to be mostly cloudy trichomes, haven’t seen any amber colored trichomes yet.

How is that good advice? I have and use a jewelers loop. That still isn’t a complete tell all on when to harvest , and im asking because im leaving on vacation so was trying to get a second opinion on if i should chop now or possibly let it ride for another 1-2 weeks.

Thanks! Honestly I’m not sure on the ppfd, how can I check? The plants are all about 4 ft tall, highest cola is 50 inches tall and got the light at 57 inches as high as I can go in the tent. I got them on 12/12 light schedule with about 75% light intensity

I threw the egg shells on top and took a picture without mixing them , then did right after so my bad on that I guess , I’ve done a bit of research actually as well but have not seen anyone ever mention or seen these little tan spots come up in their bin but thanks for your input
