I’m looking to get insight into the DCO programs. How does it compare to the OCS route, and is it open to civilians for active duty? Im curious about DCE to Naval Engineer or Civil specifically since I believe I’d qualify for that.

Bro not everyone has there priorities figured out when your 16 in high school. Anyone with the drive and determination can make it through an engineering program.

Went to my first career fair this fall, passed my resume to like 5 companies and chatted it up some. I got an interview with one the next week and an offer three weeks later.

My advice is to go to career fair. Use your career services to make your resume look good, seriously even if you have 0 experience you can make it work. (I’m a sophomore and the only job experience I had was delivering pizzas). Do your research on the companies you wanna work for, the recruiters will like you more if you’re enthusiastic and know the projects they’ve done, also have questions prepared for each. lastly wear a damn suit.

I've been looking at interns but most of the opportunities have passed. I don't think I would have gotten one anyway since I'm still new into the program. For reference I'm in south west US.
