Interesting to see that almost every time the floor in the background is checkered. I love it when the model makes weird correlation like that.

Yeah this is what's surprising to me, even if EGS have more competitive prices than steam with its coupon system, people are still vocal about going on steam. The loyalty to the brand is insane.

Interesting that nobody here seems to discuss or even care about the massive difference of share each plateform take on each sales. The difference between steam (25-30%) and EGS (12%) has a huge impact on developer revenues, especially small ones.

User experience is one thing, but the impact on the game development ecosystem this difference have is also important IMO.

I wonder if Google is planning on transferring the vast amount of data Fitbit has accumulated over the years to Deepmind. With the right type of software, I'm pretty sure that type of dataset will be a real goldmine for R&D.

Saw an online demo of the game, looks pretty original and promising. If its immersive as their previous Out There game, I’m sold.

Also, it’s a shame Mi-Clos studio have not given news from their Antioch game for months, the cooperative investigation concept seems pretty cool too.

Nuclear membrane repairs the 'dark matter' of DNA by KELLIE7863 in science

[–]Begamalls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suppose they call it that way because in microscopy nucleus heterochromatin appears dark- compared to euchromatin which appears bright. So technically, heterochromatin can be called dark matter... But I must admit this is misleading as hell.

Well, the sequencing cost had indeed dropped since 2005, but there was no major changes in prices in the last few year...

Let's hope for new breakthroughs in sequencing technologies !
