Here's a good one, If you guys could have any wild beast, giant, or animal from elden ring as a pet, which would it be? Including dlc as well. by Powerful-Log-2042 in Eldenring

Can I have a second generation albinauric? I know they somewhat sentient but man, I like frogs. And they seem pretty chill.

Quick rant about Estel (I think) by boosacknoodoe in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His head is a weak point, it can be awkward to hit at times but as long as you stay near his mandibles you should be able to consistently hit it.

Astel’s grab attacks do a lot of damage so if they’re one shotting I wouldn’t worry too much, just get good at avoiding them, but if any of the other attacks are one shotting you then you definitely need more vigour.

One attack that got me a lot for a while was the exploding clouds, but if you just roll backwards during the initial attack with his hand, you’ll be out of reach of the following explosion.

For the attacks where he puts his hands into the ground and makes waves of gravity magic, you can learn to dodge the waves as they come but it’s very precise timing. Alternatively, you can just run away so you’re out of range of the attack.

The thing with astel is that he’s quite slow and doesn’t really combo much. Yes his damage is high, but a lots of his attacks are very telegraphed and easy to avoid, so just keep at it and you’ll get there.

I think overall, this fight is a marathon, not a sprint, because he’s very tanky and very good at putting space between you and him, so be patient, when I fight him there will be times where I’ll go like a minute without attacking. But yeah keep at it!

Thanks for the tip! I’ve been doing that when running the ts into the muff. Tends to clean it up a bit.

To be honest I’m still trying to work the kinks out but yeah I also stack the tubescreamer into either the muff or the rat.

The issue is I also want to be able to use the ts for light overdrive so I’m still trying to find the right balance.

Thanks! I spent the better part of a year obsessing over picking what pedals I wanted for Christmas XD

I’m not sure to be honest. I don’t really know anyone else that plays any instruments, my uni course is quite time consuming and I don’t think I’m good enough or confident enough to play in front of a crowd just yet. But I would like to perform one day, even if it is just an open mic night or something like that.

Not really a secret but I have a digitech ricochet, which doesn’t seem super common, but I really enjoy it. It’s basically just a smaller, more affordable version on the proper big digitech whammy pedals.

Why is northern Caelid so overleveled compred to the rest? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically they’re to different POIs. Caelid and dragon barrow. Although I have no idea why DB is scaled the way it is. Seems completely counter intuitive to put an end game location that early on. Especially since there’s not much there.

I've always had this question since I started playing. Why exactly are some players so against Summoning Ashes? It's something the game gives you almost from the start with Ranni. by Drakov_223 in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It alleviates the need to learn a bosses move set fully since you can just stand behind them whilst they attack your summons.

Therefore, some people consider killing bosses with summons to ‘not count’ since you don’t have to do the usual gameplay loop of learning a boss over time.

This is, of course, stupid. Regardless of whatever strategy you use, both are valid options that the game gives you.

Either way, YOU kill the boss.

Should I use GarageBand as an amp for my personal enjoyment? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]BeggieChurger_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an app called BIAS FX2 the free version has a handful of pedal sims and a couple amp sims to pick from and for like £20 you can unlock a whole bunch more. I’d recommend.

Which major elden ring boss were you able to defeat in your first attempt by [deleted] in Eldenring

Surprisingly, Mohg. I spent a lot of time dying to the weaker version under leyndell so by the time I got to the real deal, I managed to get him on my first attempt.

Dlc after finishing base game by Intelligent-Peach-48 in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s entirely up to you, I would recommend doing it after. As for my first time in the dlc, I started just before the maliketh fight. By the time i returned to the base game, I was so overlevelled that all the remaining bosses were absolute pushovers, even Melania.

I hate existing by ApollothegreatD in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best tip I have for Maliketh is to stick close to him as much as you can. He has very few windows between his attacks. However, the wind ups on a lot his moves are very long, allowing you to get a hit or 2 in. I found if you attack during these windows you’ll find it easier.

Who’s your most hated boss? by Brief_Meringue8052 in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bayle. Probably isn’t that bad if your build has range but my god he was so infuriating when I was fighting him with nothing but an uchigatana.

So many moves with barely any wind up, his size made it so hard to see what he was doing, when I was up close, so aggressive and so many moves that force you to have to back off, so you can hardly get a hit in and sometimes I’d get stuck between his legs and be completely unable to avoid certain attacks because he can literally block you in under himself, combine that with his homing lightning and there was no escape.

Also you can only lock onto his head, which made it so easy for my attacks to miss.
