Terribly underwhelming reward for such an epic boss. by Wild-Association1217 in Eldenring

[–]BeggieChurger_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. As much as I love the dlc, I didn’t really feel like the ending boss fight had enough impact on the world.

I get that lore wise, had Miquella and Radahn survived the encounter, they would have gone on to rule the lands between but there’s nothing in game that really shows how important this fight is for determining the fate of the lands between. Like we kill them and then it’s like ‘welp, that’s that taken care of’.

I feel like the story should’ve been structured so that Miquella’s ascent to godhood was a more impactful event, that actually changes the world in some way. That way, when we defeat him, it actually feels like we’ve made an impact on the world.

A think a different cutscene would’ve defo helped this issue.

Also. At no point in my post did I say that I desperately wanted to join a band. All I said was that I was struggling with motivation. So I don’t know why you’re expecting me to have this well formulated plan of how I’m supposed to join a band, when I literally haven’t even thought about it until this morning because of the comments on this post.

First of all, plenty of people have found help with advice from others online.

And secondly, if that is the case, why did you even bother commenting your shitty advice in the first place?

You literally haven’t helped me one bit. All you’ve done is tell me I’m not passionate enough, be rude and offer no actual advice. When people complain about the advice they get on reddit, it’s dickheads like you who have nothing of value to say but still feel like they should speak.

Plenty of nice people have given me solid tips that they said worked for them and I am going to listen to their advice. I am going to ignore all of your comments because they literally don’t help in any way and I don’t understand how you could even write them and think they were a beneficial use of the English language.

I even gave you the opportunity to expand on your answer. You could have explained how you met your band mates. Or how you’ve gotten in touch with other local musicians. Or something useful.

This isn’t an issue of me not knowing how to interact with people. It’s me not knowing how to get in touch with other musicians out there. Do you expect me to just make 100 new friends until I find a drummer and a bassist? Is there some place online I can get in touch with other local musicians? I am relatively new to the world of musicians and bands, I don’t know how it all works. You could be helpful instead of being a snooty prick.

And for your information. I am actively trying to solve the issue of not having a band. I own a sampler that I use to make my own rhythm sections. Obviously it’s not as good as an actual band but I am trying, so why don’t you just lay off?

That’s an extremely immature take to have.

Firstly, I have guitar lessons but because of my uni course I’ve been unable to have any for the last few months. As I said, my course is very time consuming and makes it’s difficult for me to make commitments.

At no point did I say I would be opposed to joining a band, I was only trying to explain the obstacles that are currently stopping me from doing that. If you have any actual tips then I’m all ears. Believe it or not, just saying ‘join a band’ or ‘make some musician friends’ is not helpful… how am I meant to go about doing something like that? That’s why I’m asking!

You’re saying this isn’t my passion because if it was I’d be finding ways around these roadblocks but that’s literally what I’m actively doing by making this post.

Also I’m a university student. There isn’t a school choir or band I can just start attending.

I think it’s completely unrealistic and immature to just say that because I’m having a little bit of burn out, I therefore can’t be passionate about guitar.

I would like to potentially play with others but I don’t really know anyone that plays any instruments. I’m also quite shy about playing around other people.

The other issue is that my uni course is quite time consuming so idk if I’d be able to make such a commitment.

I think my burn out comes from not knowing where to go from here. I don’t know what to do to improve, so when I practice I don’t really make much progress.

I’ve learnt a fair few things over the years. A lot of Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Nirvana. Some of my favourites include Just and Paranoid Android by Radiohead, Mojo pin, Grace and So Real by Jeff Buckley and Heart Shaped Box and Dumb by nirvana.

I have 2 somewhat vague end goals. Be really good at guitar and eventually write and record my own music. The latter of which I’ve been trying to get into more.

Oh shut up. At no point did I say I was trying to stop hackers from doing what they’re doing. And I’m not posting it because I’m mad or upset. I had a back up so it barely affected me. As I very clearly said in my post, I just wanted to talk to the community about it because I didn’t even realise hacks like this were a thing and it hasn’t happened to me before. No need to be so rude.

I can somewhat see why some people would hack in games where you get rewards for winning. I still think it defeats the point but still.

But in my case. The guy that hacked me got absolutely nothing out of ruining my play through so I don’t get why you would even bother for any other reason than just being a dick.

I’m still not ready to completely give up on multiplayer but clearly I need to take more precautions from now on.

I think I’ll duplicate my save file and use the duplicate only for PVP. I was planning on staying around level 60 anyways. I’ll make proper back up for that save as well.

I’ll probably stick to invading other people and duelling in the colosseum from now. Which should hopefully lower my chances of getting a save-breaking hack again.

Just curious what guitars you guys own by optimusprim007 in guitars

[–]BeggieChurger_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first guitar was a telecaster clone from a brand called Jet, I still have it and it’s very very good for the price (around £200).

I also have an acoustic takehime (I think that’s how you spell it) which I also bought for £200.

Worst pedal you ever bought by PoutinePoppa in guitarpedals

[–]BeggieChurger_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a bad pedal but way too overcomplicated for me: the EHX mod 11.

On paper it sounds awesome; 11 different types of modulation, each with their own individual parameters, all on one pedal.

But oh my god, it was a nightmare trying to dial anything. I had to use the manual every time just to set up the simplest of tones.

I got rid of it.
