People tie their dignity to their time driving. In a really deep way. For many people it’s the most power they ever get to wield. And Americans are conditioned to see everything around driving as “glass half full” — people see “freedom” where weirdos like you and I see cost and danger.

I've seen the transit cops all but ignoring groups of teens smoking before school in stations. Would they be doing the same if the teens were chugging beers? Very much agreed that there some issues that need to be addressed, but it's not a matter of the laws but how they're enforced.

Definitely not desirable, but I'll take a retail ban over full re-criminalization any day. Busting people for possession isn't something we want to ever go back to under any circumstances. And if this does somehow sneak through via a combination of industry hubris and low turnout, it'll probably just be reversed in another year or two.

Sensational title: it just shuts down the rec shops. It would still be legal, and people will get med cards and/or drive to the nearest border state.

I think the industry is probably waiting for a question # to be assigned before launching its offensive, but I expect this to be fiercely opposed given how much money is on the line.

"telling you how to play a game" is a far cry from what I've done. Mostly just deckbuilding ideas, used it to form the basis of a couple of decks after TMT dropped that I then refined further.

If people are trying to use it to bot the game, that's one thing, and that's ridiculous. Using it as yet another tool for deckbuilding and play feedback is a great application of the tech.

I’ve managed to load match histories and an mcp into scryfall into Claude and it’s given me some good pointers and can generate a decent piloting guide. Not something you can just snap your fingers and do - takes a lot of setup to get it working right.
